This was our first trip with Workaway, and what an amazing first experience it was! Never has a place so quickly felt like home to us. David and Jenny were extraordinary hosts who went out of their way to make us feel welcome, comfortable, and valued members of the household. We gained many new skills while working the land, including: what it

Their home is a mountain paradise. I personally spent several afternoons sitting outside and reading; I can't think of a better way to spend a summer afternoon. We hope we will have the privilege to come back again someday :)You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Gabrielle & Alan were excellent guests. We worked well together in the woods. We shared stories, music, and cooked together. They spent time enjoying the outdoors resting in the hammock and taking trips to Glacier and surrounding areas. Grateful for their stay.
The bad news is that we had intended on having Derrick and Baylee stay for two weeks or more. A family visit interrupted that plan leaving us sadly with Derrick and Baylee for only a week. Tonight walking in the woods Jenny said to me "I miss Derrick and Baylee." I do too.
They were the best of guests and workawayers. They had a delicate

Their assistance made a lasting change to our land. Beside work, we ate and cooked together, visited Whitefish and Glacier Park together and shared an evening of music together.
Yes, this is the kind of people that make Workaway sensible, reasonable and even more ... rewarding. My confidence in humanity is bolstered because of this couple. We look forward to having Derrick and Baylee, our new friends, visit again.
We recently completed a one-week work-away experience with David and Jenny in Montana, and we were blown away by their hospitality and incredible home nestled in the lush forest.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with open arms. Over the week, we got to know both David and Jenny on a personal level, resulting in a lifelong friendship

David worked alongside us each day, and while the work was challenging and physically demanding at times, his positive support and clear direction made it very enjoyable. His leadership skills and focus on safety ensured that we were always comfortable and well taken care of.
Jenny is an amazing woman—sweet, accommodating, and possessing a heart of gold. She was very hospitable and always considerate, which made our stay exceptional.
And we can't forget the dogs, Luna and Chief! They were one of many highlights of our stay, often accompanying us during our workday. We can't wait to see them again.
David and Jenny are exceptional people, and we feel very fortunate to have crossed paths with them. We are already planning our return!
As Maya Angelou once said, “We are more alike, my friends, than we are unalike.” Our time with David and Jenny truly reflected this, reminding us of the deep connections that can be formed through shared experiences and kindness.

Kaleb and Juliette were ideal Workawayers in our home. Each weekday, I asked for only 2 hours of forest work from them. Yet each day they offered to take on more work. Juliette and Kaleb cooked for us on a number of occasions. Their recipes were delicious and healthy.
We thoroughly enjoyed spending downtime with them, especially spending time
… read more together in the backyard and preparing evening meals. The four of us blended so well that it was like having family here instead of guests. Kaleb and Juliette were always very appreciative of our schedules, our inclusive meals and our hospitality.
Kaleb is a fast learner with a strong work ethic - a real pleasure to be around each day. Juliette is considerate and resourceful - eager to share her culture and insights on ours. We found them both to be kind, friendly, self-sufficient, athletic and well-traveled. We appreciated their willingness to try new things (our cooking style, wines, card game, etc.).
Workaway provided us not only with great volunteers for our project but with new friends.

My wife and I stayed with David and Jenny for the month of July. Working for and living with them was top notch.
David was a pleasure to work for and with, being professional, very reasonable and the antithesis of stressful.
Jenny and David both succeeded in making us feel truly at home throughout the duration of our stay. Jenny is a black belt
… read more hostess who exuded care and friendliness while respecting boundaries. The same can be said of David, who is a master socializer and was easy to appreciate in every setting.
Apart from their attributes, the experience was enhanced by the beauty and uniqueness of their property. Walking their dog, Luna to the nearby lake on hot days, slowly discovering special areas of their land, and having ample time to relax and decompress in a stress free environment are examples of the little things that left a significantly positive impact on us both.
Thank you, Jenny and David for your openness, developed and agreeable personalities, and above all this opportunity. I'll process wood for you two any time. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Shay was an ideal guest in our home. He participated in family activities/chores, and worked in the woods with us. He is a fun and intelligent person, a pleasure to have as our guest.

I had an amazing stay at David and Jenny's place. Tucked away in the woods, their home is a hidden gem not far from the city.
