Hello fellow explorers and hosts on Workaway!

We’re Derrick and Baylee, a married couple who have completed two enriching Workaway experiences and are now eager to plan our winter adventures. With a love for the sun but a craving for a winter in the mountains, we’re excited to continue our journey and fill our upcoming season with meaningful Workaway opportunities.

Derrick is an entrepreneur with a knack for innovation and problem-solving, while Baylee is a seasoned school teacher currently on leave, bringing a deep understanding of education and a passion for nurturing young minds. Our past Workaway experiences have been incredibly rewarding, and we’re keen to build on those experiences by contributing to new communities.

Our goal is to immerse ourselves in new cultures, learn from diverse traditions, and share our own skills and knowledge. Whether it’s assisting with community projects, working on farms, or engaging in eco-conscious initiatives, we’re enthusiastic about rolling up our sleeves and making a positive impact wherever we go.

As we embark on this new chapter, we’re open to both sunny winter escapes and opportunities in mountainous settings. We’re ready to embrace new challenges, continue our cultural exchange journey, and create lasting memories.

We're a friendly and positive couple who recently wrapped up an incredible six-month journey exploring the beauty and diversity of South East Asia. Our adventure left us craving more experiences that enlighten us and bring us wisdom, as we thoroughly enjoy immersing ourselves in new cultures and perspectives.

Derrick brings his entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen, having successfully managed a company in Canada. Baylee, with her background in teaching, is skilled in fostering learning environments and facilitating meaningful connections. Together, we share a passion for cooking, physical fitness, and teamwork.
