Description
We are a young family living in a small and charming Saxon village, in the heart of Transylvania. Because it still preserves the traditional architecture and, in many ways, the archaic way of rural life, our village is an UNESCO protected site and one of the most visited places in Romania. Its surroundings, rich in wild life and rare plant species, are great for hikes or bike rides.
We own and run a small but beautiful guesthouse, hosting tourists from all over the world, as well as a small museum. Also, we have a large garden where we grow delicious organic vegetables.
The work will be paid with 2.5 eur/h. This includes accommodation in a private room with bathroom, and most meals.
If you are interested in history, traditional rural architecture and nature, our place might be a good destination for you.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Staying with us would offer you the possibility to get a taste of what it feels like to live in a small village where many things are still done like centuries ago. We are surrounded by beautiful nature, rich in wild plants and animals, with many mountain biking tracks to explore. As we own a guesthouse, you can meet people from all over the world while staying with us.
You could also visit the neighboring cities like Sighisoara (medieval town where Dracula is said to have lived for a while), Brasov and Sibiu.Projects involving children

Help
We are looking for a helping hand for serving the food to our guests and maintaining our ecological garden. In the case of the museum, we are interested in Workawayers that could deliver foreign language guided tours and could give a hand in the museum's small cafe.
