We are a cultural spot and a hostel where indigenous, backpackers, locals, and travelers in general are welcome to stay and to share their experiences and knowledges. Our focus is to develop cultural activities and strengthen knowledge of our indigenous tribes, such as the kogui, arhuaco and wiwas. We support them with all the respect and create friendly interaction with them. We also organize culture events in the hostel (life music, circus, theatre, cinema, workshop, handicraft, jam sessions).
We opened as well another hostel, following a different concept. This one is situated closer to the beach.
Both hostels do have a restaurant/bar/Café.

The hostel is situated on the main road, just 15 minutes walking to the beach. We also have a kogui style house in town where we stay and another typical house in the mountains.
Here, volunteers can:
Help us planting, harvesting and gardening.
Cleaning the hostel and helping with tourist.
Painting the walls, creating any kind of art or participating in the cultural events.
Building, decorating, organizing and providing us the ideas to improve the place.
Giving us ideas about the design, logo and advertisement.
Especially in our new hostel, which is less than 5 minutes away from the beach, we would love to find someone to help us at the Reception (checking reservations, taking care of guests). For this work, a good level of English would be nice to have.
Our volunteers are being offered a bed with mosquito net in a 3 bed mixed room.
It is useful to bring a bug repellent and a flashlight.
We speak just little english, so we prefer to communicate with you in Spanish.
We offer laundry service.
We are linked to other hostels in the area and in the country.
Most of the performances and events are at night so there might be loud music at the weekends. However, we all are enjoying it. ;)
