    Description

We are a family of three living in Mestre, the mainland area of Venice, Italy. We have a cheerful and curious 5-year-old son, Martino, and we are looking for a friendly person to join our family for a cultural exchange.

We would appreciate help with picking up and spending time with Martino after school, as well as some light household support. In return, we offer comfortable independent accommodation, the opportunity to experience Italian family life, and the chance to practice and learn Italian while exploring Venice and its surroundings.

We are looking for someone who enjoys being around children, is responsible, and would like to become part of our family's daily life for a while.

We are looking for a friendly, responsible, and energetic person to become part of our family life and help us with our 5-year-old son after school.

    The main support would include:

Picking him up from school on some afternoons
Spending quality time with him through games, sports, creative activities, or outdoor play
Helping him stay engaged and entertained until dinner time
Occasionally assisting with simple homework or reading activities

In addition, we would appreciate some light help with daily household organization, such as tidying shared spaces, helping keep the kitchen organized, folding laundry, or other small tasks that contribute to the smooth running of family life.

We see this as a cultural exchange and would love to share our local culture, food, and way of life while learning about yours. We are happy to spend time together, exchange experiences, and make you feel at home. We are looking for someone who enjoys spending time with children, is proactive, and appreciates being part of a family environment.

The help required is light and flexible, allowing plenty of free time to explore the area, study, or pursue personal interests.

    What else ...

We live in Mestre, the mainland area of Venice, in a quiet residential neighborhood with excellent public transportation. Venice's historic center is just a short train or bus ride away, making it easy to explore one of the world's most unique cities during your free time. The beach, nearby towns, and beautiful destinations such as Padua, Verona, and the Dolomites are also easily accessible.

In your free time, you can enjoy Venice's culture, museums, cafés, local markets, and events, or simply relax and explore the surrounding area.

As a family, we value respect, open communication, and a positive attitude. We like to keep our home tidy and ask everyone to help maintain shared spaces. We are non-smokers and enjoy a relaxed, family-friendly environment.

We hope our guest will feel comfortable, enjoy their independence, and become part of our family life during their stay.
