    Description

    Hello!

We’re Michaela and Dimitri, a friendly Franco-British couple with three young children, now four years into the adventure of restoring a 500-year-old priory in Osserain—a peaceful, picturesque village in the Béarn region, right on the edge of Basque Country.

Right now, we are actively looking for:
    - Motivated, hands-on helpers who enjoy learning new things as well as sharing their own sharing their own skills, stories, and experiences
    - Experience in DIY is a plus—but most of all, we value a good attitude and a strong ethic!

You’ll help about 4–5 hours a day, 5 days a week, with plenty of time off to explore and relax. In exchange, we offer:
✅ Free accommodation in a cozy 2-bedroom mobile home
    ✅ A weekly food stipend
    ✅ A 50% discount at our café/bar in Sauveterre-de-Béarn

🌍 Language Exchange & Social Life
We speak English, French, and a little Spanish, and are happy to help you practice! There’s also a weekly language exchange in the village, which is a great place to meet new people. We’re also happy to give tips on what to see and do in the area—such hidden swim spots and scenic hikes.

🌿 About the Place & Region:
Our project is set in a peaceful rural area with incredible nature all around:
    - Rivers for swimming and paddle boarding.
    - Hikes and walks starting right from the house
    - Just 1 hour from both the Atlantic coast and the Pyrenees mountains
    - Nearby villages, like Sauveterre-de-Béarn, where we also run a beach bar.

    💬 Ready to Join Us?
If you’re curious, enthusiastic, and ready to get your hands dirty with us, we’d love to hear from you!

See you soon in the Béarn!
