    Description

We are a family of four, two daughters are 7 and 9. We have a guide outfitting business where we stay in a camp for weeks in the spring and fall, guiding hunters for bear and moose. This is a beautiful, remote wilderness location where we stay in cabins on a lakeside. There is sometimes cell service, but no internet or electricity in camp.

We are looking for help with the kids during our weeks in camp. This means going on walks with the two girls, spending time at the lake, helping with crafts/school work etc. and meal times. Our busy times are starting in early May to about middle of June and again in September and October.

We (Dominique and the two daughters) take breaks and return home for attending school often. You will then be staying with us at our home where you have your own room and bathroom, cell service and power. We live close to nice hiking areas with beautiful mountains all around us. The child care is not needed as much when we are home but you may help me with our garden and our horses or spend some time exploring the area for your free time.

We love spending lots of time outdoors and would like to share this unique opportunity with you.
    We speak German and English.

Note: it is a hunting camp, so you would be exposed to harvested wildlife and many memorable stories from our clients and guides.

Spending time in a remote wilderness area is a rare opportunity. It is quiet and a bit of an adjustment if you’re not used to it, but so refreshing and rewarding to spend time outdoors. The kids are quite independent and love to play outside or do art or school work. There is a cook in camp who is always there so you will not be completely on your own.

If you are interested, you can learn about conservation and hunting with us. Preparing harvested wildlife, hosting clients and caring for a camp, is all part of what we do.

If you need to improve your English we can help there.

Please inquire for more information if you think this is something you are interested in. It is a very unique situation and we would be thrilled to find a fitting person.
