    Description

    Good day volunteers!

My name is May and I am a single mother of one, living in the Sea to Sky area of BC. We are thrilled to be living in this Canadian paradise and are happy to host friendly, kind singles for 2-4 weeks.

Squamish is a town of about 60,000 people that is roughly 50 minutes from the city of Vancouver. It is 45 minutes from Whistler and on a fjord (of the beautiful Pacific Ocean). It is surrounded by mountains, has countless trails, waterfalls, and hiking destinations.

If you are an outdoor enthusiast, this is the greatest outdoor playground, whether you are into mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, skiing/snowboarding, watersports, there is ample to do. People come from all over the world (and often end up staying) to experience this wonderland.

We are in the Dentville area of Squamish, which is a short walk to the downtown area, with grocery stores, small shops, cafes, restaurants, parks and the library, plus a Saturday Farmer's Market. You have access to rental E-bikes, rental cars and a commuter pedal bike I have you can use any time.

My daughter goes to school but we are often home in the evenings and in and out on weekends. We enjoy nature walks and going to the city for a change of pace.

I am a friendly individual, would happily show you around. My hours are limited because of work and personal obligations, so one must be independent, but I would make time to show you the sights, possibly visit Whistler and Pemberton.

I have always been interested in other cultures and customs, have traveled when I could and am excited to learn about you and where you come from. I am happy to buy groceries if you would like to cook a couple of evenings a week. My home is your home.

    Help

I have an RV that I have gutted and am in the process of rebuilding. I am looking for someone that will work along side me at times, but can also work independently. Someone with some building skills, welding skills would be great, electrical, plumbing, all the skills that would be required for a build out is what I am seeking, but predominantly carpentry skills. I am not expecting a Red Seal Carpenter but someone with some knowledge and experience is definitely warranted.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

I am very easygoing. I don't smoke or do drugs. Life is pretty quiet, I read a lot and my daughter does her own thing.
On your time off there are countless things to keep you busy such as a few local venues for entertainment. There are ferries that go to a few different islands from the terminal 35 minutes away. We have pop-a-rides that make travel quite easy to other towns, cities. I am certain that you will love it as we do.
