🌿 Hello, we are Barbara (Dutch) and Wayan (Balinese). We live in Sidemen, East Bali, at the foot of Mount Agung.

After 3 years being inactive on Workaway we are happy to have this new opportunity for the right person. Sidemen has become a bit more known over the past years, but it is still one of the most authentic and peaceful areas in Bali. Surrounded by rice fields, rivers, and mountain views, village life here is closely connected to nature and Balinese traditions.

We run two small businesses here. One is a handmade cement tile workshop, where tiles are produced locally using traditional methods. The other is a small eco-resort, set in a quiet green area where guests come to relax and experience a slower side of Bali.

Both of our projects have grown quite organically over time. We are creative people and enjoy building things in our own way, which means that our environment is not overly structured, but very real and constantly evolving.

Life here is simple and grounded. Days are shaped by nature, local ceremonies, guests, and ongoing projects. It’s a good place for people who appreciate quiet surroundings, natural beauty, and a more authentic experience of Bali.

We enjoy sharing this place with others and creating a space where people can connect, contribute, and experience a different rhythm of life.

    Warm regards,
    Barbara and Wayan

🌿 What We Are Looking For

At the moment, we are looking for someone with experience in hospitality who can support and train our local team.

Our Eco-resort has grown over time, and we would now like to bring more structure, confidence, and professionalism into our daily operations—while still keeping the warm and personal atmosphere that makes this place special.

We are especially looking for someone who can help with:

Training our team in kitchen, restaurant, and reception
    Improving guest experience and communication
Teaching efficiency and workflow in daily operations
Sharing knowledge about service, attention to detail, and hospitality standards
Helping staff feel more confident in interacting with guests and upselling in a natural way

This is not about strict hotel rules, but about sharing knowledge, building confidence, and growing together.
