Description
Hello Dear Volunteers! 👋
Thank you for your interest in our project—we're excited to welcome people from around the world!
Our parents run a foundation that has been operating a boarding school program for local students since 2011. Over the years, it has become a place where students can grow academically, personally, and socially in a supportive environment.
In 2018, we introduced an English program because we believe that learning English opens doors to greater opportunities. Many of our students have limited access to English education and rarely have the chance to communicate with international visitors. By interacting with volunteers from different countries, they can practice English naturally, build confidence, and broaden their understanding of different cultures.
Our students are between 13 and 18 years old. As a volunteer, your role is to speak English with them through fun conversations, games, discussions, and simple activities. You do not need to be a professional teacher. We value kindness, enthusiasm, patience, and a willingness to share your culture more than teaching experience.
During your stay, you will live with our family, making this a genuine cultural exchange rather than simply a volunteering experience. We provide accommodation, and we hope you'll feel at home from the moment you arrive. We don't see volunteers as workers, we see you as part of our family.
Outside of the school schedule, you'll have plenty of free time to relax, explore the local area, visit nearby attractions, experience Indonesian culture, or simply enjoy daily life with our family. We encourage volunteers to make the most of their time here while creating unforgettable memories.
We look forward to welcoming open-minded, friendly people who want to make a positive impact while experiencing authentic life in Indonesia.
Important Notice:
At the moment, we are unfortunately unable to accept female volunteers due to our current accommodation arrangements. We hope this will be temporary and look forward to welcoming female volunteers again in the future. Thank you for your understanding. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Living with our family means you'll experience authentic Indonesian daily life. You'll have the opportunity to learn about our traditions, local customs, language, and culture while enjoying homemade Indonesian food.
Outside of volunteering, you'll have plenty of free time to explore Cianjur and nearby destinations such as tea plantations, waterfalls, mountains, hot springs, and local markets. We're also happy to recommend places to visit and help you discover West Java like a local.
Most importantly, we hope you'll leave not only with unforgettable memories, but with lifelong friendships. -

Help
We are looking for volunteers to help our students practice conversational English. You will not be expected to teach formal classes on your own. Instead, you will join our English sessions by leading conversations, playing games, doing group activities, and sharing your culture with our students.
The goal is to create a fun and relaxed environment where students can build confidence speaking English. We work together as a team, and you'll always have support from us.
This is a cultural exchange, not a paid position. In return for your help, we provide accommodation, meals, and the opportunity to experience authentic Indonesian family life. -

• A shared volunteer room (maximum 2 volunteers) with air conditioning and two king-size beds.
• Three home-cooked meals every day, with food always available if you're hungry.

• Occasionally, if our family travels together, we'll happily invite volunteers to join us and cover the entrance fees or tickets for those activities. -
What else ...
Outside of volunteering, you'll have plenty of free time to relax, explore the local area, or enjoy your own hobbies. If you enjoy spending time with us, you're always welcome to join our family on outings, such as hiking, visiting local attractions, or trying Indonesian food.
However, we also completely understand if you'd like some personal time to rest or explore on your own. We simply ask that you let us know your plans so we know you're safe. -
