Description
A remote 20-acre farm in Utuado, Puerto Rico. As a personal project, we are transitioning the farm from its previous use as a conventional coffee farm into a regenerative, carbon-fixing agroforest-style cacao and grape farm, using no chemicals or synthetic fertilizers.
We don't produce enough to sell but there are plenty of bananas, plantains, edible roots, papaya, and cacao beans for your personal consumption!
We are looking for a person or couple to stay for at least 3 months and help with the farm and taking care of animals (dogs, cat, chickens) in exchange for lodging in an independent one bedroom apartment with kitchen and bathroom.
Located in the center of Puerto Rico, this is the perfect place to reconnect with nature away from the chaos of city and tourist destinations. We have great wi-fi so you can bring your own remote work.
Please note that Puerto Rico has almost no public transportation and the farm is very remote (and peaceful). It is difficult to get around without a car.Types of help and learning opportunities
