    Description

Hello! Welcome to our rural project on the beautiful island of Madeira.

We, Paula from Germany and Dustin from the US, are a couple living on this beautiful lush island. We are dedicated to restoring 5 charming old stone houses on our 8000m2 piece of land in Faja Da Ovelha, boasting breathtaking ocean views and scenic surroundings.

At our project, you will have the unique opportunity to stay in historical Madeiran stone houses that have been thoughtfully equipped with modern comforts, ensuring a comfortable experience. Our location offers both proximity to the beach and town, as well as the tranquility and spaciousness of nature.

One of the highlights of our project is the production of natural wine, cultivated right here on our property. Alongside the wine production, we have an abundance of tropical fruits and organically grown agricultural produce. Our irrigation system utilizes the levadas that run through our grounds, ensuring sustainable farming practices.

Our main focus is on creating a diverse range of fruit and sub-tropical plants, showcasing the incredible variety that this island is capable of nurturing. By integrating the fruit plants and trees with other vegetation, we aim to establish a sustainable agriculture system.

We have recently completed two of the five houses, with the third currently under construction. Now, we are excited to move into the next phase of our project—planting and hardscaping. This is where we require assistance the most.

We are searching for someone to stay with us who can support us in planting and cultivating the diverse range of sub-tropical plants on our land. Your knowledge and expertise in agricultural practices, including soil preparation, planting techniques, and ongoing plant care, would be invaluable in helping us establish a thriving and sustainable ecosystem. Also we would need support in hardscaping (stonework, masonary). If you have experience in any of those areas, we´re happy to hear from you.

We´re looking forward to your message!

    Paula & Dustin
