Description
Hello! Welcome to our project on the beautiful island of Madeira.
We, Paula from Germany and Dustin from the US, are a couple living on this beautiful lush island. We are dedicated to restoring 5 charming old stone houses on our 8000m2 piece of land in Faja Da Ovelha, boasting breathtaking ocean views and scenic surroundings.
At our project, you will have the unique opportunity to stay in historical Madeiran stone houses that have been thoughtfully equipped with modern comforts, ensuring a comfortable experience. Our location offers both proximity to the beach and town, as well as the tranquility and spaciousness of nature.
Our main focus is on creating a diverse range of sub-tropical plants, showcasing the incredible variety that this island is capable of nurturing. By integrating the plants and trees with other vegetation, we aim to establish a sustainable system.
We have recently completed three of the four houses, with the fourth currently under construction. Now, we are excited to move into the next phase of our project—landscaping, hardscaping and finishing everything that has to be done. This is where we require assistance the most.
We are searching for someone to stay with us who can support us in gardening, landscaping and cultivating the diverse range of sub-tropical plants on our land. Your knowledge and expertise including soil preparation, planting techniques, and ongoing plant care, would be valuable in helping us establish a thriving and sustainable ecosystem.
Currently we would need support in carpentry help or landscaping. If you have experience in any of those areas, we´re happy to hear from you.
We´re looking forward to your message!

In return of your knowledge and support you will have a free accomendation in your private house. Food is not provided, but we are doing regular BBQs/breakfasts together and you will recieve a weekly expense allowance of 30 Euros (2 people 40 Euros) for your volunteering (working 20 hours p.p weekly, flexible days and hours).
