Description
This is an invitation for wonderful workawayers who are becoming “the change you want to see in the world” (Mahatma Gandhi) and would like to experience some weeks of cooperation and coexistence towards “the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible” (Charles Eisenstein)...
I'm a 42 years old Spanish-Catalan guy. My name is Blai. In the last decade I've been developing various interconnected, transformative, holistic, non-profit projects: a method for integral personal development, a beautiful and practical handcrafted stationary system, a small retreat center... I studied philosophy, I've been an active promoter of eco-social conscious (r)evolution, I've learnt and practiced permaculture, played in some rock bands, written many articles about personal development, organized and facilitated events (festivals, workshops, study groups, retreats...) and, from time to time, I've hosted workawayers. And now... I'm integrating all this experiences, resources and projects, bringing them to the next level! :)

If you are looking for a calm and conscious small community which offers the perfect context and stimulus to think deeply, create meaningfully, grow personally, journal daily, train physically, eat healthily, learn holistically, evolve consciously, connect authentically and heal integrally... this is it.
Help
Depending on your interests and skills, on the one hand, and on the current needs of my projects, on the other, we will find the specific combination of task that best suits our needs. These are some potential tasks in which you might participate:
CRAFTING. Folding and cutting papers, gluing, painting, sewing, washing,... Relaxing tasks which you can do while listening to music and/or podcasts. Let me know if you have some experience in this.
CREATING and COMMUNICATING. If you are painter, a graphic designer, an illustrator, a videographer, a social media expert, a photographer and/or a web designer and would like to help me in some of these fields, we might find a good way to use your creative skills and communicative passions.
CULTIVATING. I'm cultivating some raised gardening beds and developing a permacultural forest. Sometimes there's the need to cut down some pine trees and plant some other species, move some soil, dig, water, build, repair...
COOKING. When I host a group of workawayers I appreciate to have a good vegetarian cooker to prepare delicious and healthy meals for all.
CARING for my house and/or cottage: painting, cleaning, decorating...

Accommodation
There's two possible accommodation spots:
A. THE FOREST. In the last 10 years I've been slowly but steadily developing a humanized forest. Stunning views, beautiful paths, some huts, compost toilets, meeting places, raised garden beds, a big bell tent, some fruit trees, an old stone cottage… a work-in-progress piece of paradise. It's a gathering spot and, occasionally, a small retreat center. With running water, battery lamps, solar energy, fridge... but not Wifi.
B. THE HOUSE. A beautiful rustic apartment in a the tiny village of Vilaür. Surrounded by old buildings, forests, mountains and fields.I've been designing this home to be inspiring and practical, healthy and ergonomic. It has WiFi and all the other basic comforts of modern life.
In winter, the usual accommodation is the option B, while in summer it's the option A. In autumn and spring, it's usually the A, but it can also be the B, depending on needs and availability.
What else ...
AREA. L'Alt Empordà is one of the most beautiful and culturally active rural areas of Catalonia. The beaches of Sant Martí d'Empúries, with its Greek ruins and old villages, or Sant Pere Pescador, with it's natural park and bay, or Cap de Creus, with its stunning landscapes, are among the various interesting spots. The mountains of la Garrotxa are also quite close. I go hiking at least once a week.
TRANSPORT. The train station is 3 km away from the house and with the train you can easily go to Girona, Figueres, Barcelona or the beaches of Cap de Creus. If you like, I can lend you a bike to explore the area by yourself.
FOOD. Mostly organic, local, seasonal, plant-based food, prepared in conscious and creative ways. During more than 20 years I've been researching, learning and experiencing about healthy nutrition, and my current eating and cooking style is inspired mainly by Dr. Gundry. Sometimes you will cook for yourself and I'll do the same; some other times you will cook for both or I will do the same; and in some other occasions, we will cook together.
REQUIREMENTS. I receive many more applications than I can host, so I'm selective. It's important that you feel a genuine resonance with the values and visions I've just outlined. It's key that you are a positive, peaceful, adaptable, proactive person. It's required that you have a good level of English and/or Spanish. It's valued that you are willing to grow and give your best. And it's a plus if you feel comfortable sharing silent moments, as quite often I love silence and I enjoy to share it with other spiritual beings, as much as I enjoy a meaningful conversation when appropriate.
