I have an historic conservation property built in the 1600's. I find it difficult to keep up with all the maintenance myself and it would be great to have a helping hand occasionally. It is a large property with a lovely garden full of fruit trees and grape vines and at the right season I love to make cider, wine and preserves so helping out with these projects would also be great! It also has a medieval well... if you would like a project such as building a well house be my guest!
Canterbury is a vibrate historical city that is a 50 minute train journey to London. It is buzzing with student life, quirky pubs, cafe's and the lovely cathedral.
I am Australian myself and have thoroughly explored the area.
I would love to practice and improve my Spanish and French but I am terrible at both!
Hi .... I have a conservation property in the heart of historic Canterbury. Behind my house is one of England's oldest churches. I am slowly renovating it and there is always something to do! Painters, decorators, carpenters, builders, plumbers and electritians and general handymen are most most welcome :) I try and do a lot myself but as a single female it is not always easy and some additional skills and muscles is most appreciated!
English, bad French and bad Spanish
Single room accommodation. I generally ask for 2 hours work a day only and I provide accommodation only but not food, however you have use of the kitchen, however if you want food included I am open to negotiations :)
There are plenty of places to explore in Canterbury as well as around Canterbury.
There is the Cathedral, 500 year old pubs, lovely farmer's market and England's pebble beaches and wine bars. Day trips to London are possible as it is only a 50 minute train journey to the centre.
