A young boy in boots and a checkered jacket interacts with two goats. One goat stands on its hind legs reaching for a branch. Sunny, outdoor setting.
A horse wearing a blue and red blanket stands at an open door, peeking inside curiously. Sunlight illuminates the scene, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.
A dog and a pony stand on green grass, near a fence. The pony investigates a red ball with its nose, while the dog watches curiously.
A black and white pony with blue eyes stands in a stable doorway. Another pony is visible in the background, the stall has wood shavings on the floor.
A man wearing glasses and a brown vest stands closely beside a brown horse, gently holding its face. Trees and cloudy sky are visible in the background.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We live between Dublin and the historic county of Meath, with endless possibilities to experience Irish history and culture or the hustle and bustle of the city.
We would love someone with experience with animals, in particular horses but are also willing to share our experience on a day to day basis. We have a team of vets and farriers that visit on a regular basis which are also very willing to share their knowledge. This might be of particular interest to someone looking to go into working with animals as a future career.
We would ensure anyone who comes to stay would get a taste of the local nightlife and food ,be welcomed and included at all family social gatherings and introduced to like minded animal lovers.
We would love to learn from different cultures about their countries, their food, their care of animals and ways of doing things that maybe different to here.

  • Help

    Help

We would love help with the day to day running of things, mucking out, cleaning up after the animals, replenishing feed, providing love and care. Kindness and love being of uppermost importance, some of these animals have not had a good start in life.

    What else ...

We are located 20 minutes from Dublin airport and about 30 minutes from Dublin city centre. We have a regular bus route in and out of the city every 20-30 minutes. We love the area we live in as it is rural and quiet but has the city almost on our doorstep. The proximity to Dublin allows for easy transport access to the whole of Ireland via bus and train.
We are nestled between two small villages if you want to stay closer to home, there are shops, restaurants, bars and a cinema nearby as well as being close to a lot of the historic sites of Co. Meath
