    Description

    Hello! 😊

I’m a mum of two little boys and I recently bought a house with land around it in a small and peaceful village in the French Cerdanya, surrounded by mountains and beautiful nature.

This is a new family project where I’m slowly creating a warm and natural home environment. I enjoy simple living, spending time outdoors and building a calm lifestyle close to nature.

The area is perfect for nature lovers. There are mountains, forests, rivers and incredible landscapes all around, with many opportunities for hiking, exploring and outdoor activities throughout the year. It’s an ideal place to slow down, disconnect from busy city life and experience authentic mountain living.

I would love to welcome open-minded and easy-going people who enjoy cultural exchange, family life and being part of a meaningful project in nature.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Living here offers a genuine cultural and lifestyle exchange based on family life, nature and sharing everyday experiences together.

Workawayers will have the opportunity to experience life in a small mountain village in the French Cerdanya, discovering local traditions, food and the relaxed rhythm of rural life. We can share meals, conversations and daily activities, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

As a family, we enjoy simple moments such as spending time outdoors, exploring nature, visiting local markets and nearby villages, and enjoying the mountains in every season. I’m always happy to exchange languages, cultures and experiences, and learn from people coming from different backgrounds.

This experience is ideal for people who would like to live close to nature, be part of family life and enjoy a peaceful environment while sharing skills, ideas and cultures.

  • Help

    Help

I’m looking for help with both outdoor and indoor projects, depending on your interests and skills.

Outside, I would appreciate help with:
    • Creating a vegetable garden
    • Setting up a small area for chickens
    • Cleaning and organising outdoor spaces
    • Preparing a safe and natural play area for my children

Inside the house, help is needed with:
    • Painting
    • Organising and clearing spaces
    • Small renovation and improvement projects

No special skills are required — motivation, positive energy and willingness to help are more important!

This host offers a language exchange
I speak Spanish, Catalan and English, and I’m happy to share and practise these languages with Workawayers during daily life and conversations. I’m currently learning French — I can understand it quite well, but speaking is still a bit challenging for me — so I would really enjoy practising French with native speakers or anyone who would like to help me improve. Language exchange can happen naturally through shared meals, daily activities and time spent together, creating a relaxed and fun learning environment for everyone.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

At the moment, my mother, my two children and I are living in a beautiful 300-year-old traditional house.

I have recently bought the house next door, which will become the main project. However, I will receive the keys at the end of November, so the accommodation will depend on the period of your stay.

If you come before the new house is ready, you will stay in the house where we currently live. There is a comfortable bed located in a space between the bedrooms.

From the end of November onwards, Workawayers will be able to stay in the new house and will have their own private bedroom.

The atmosphere is family-oriented, relaxed and peaceful, surrounded by nature in a small mountain village.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

This is my first time hosting through Workaway, so I’m very excited to welcome people and share this experience. I’m open to learning and improving as a host, and I hope to create a friendly, relaxed and supportive environment for everyone.

I really enjoy spending time outdoors, working on projects around the house and garden, and sharing simple family life. I hope Workawayers who come here will feel at home, enjoy nature, and take part in a meaningful and fun experience.

I’m happy to answer any questions you have before your stay and will do my best to make your time here enjoyable and comfortable.

There isn’t space to park a camper or motorhome directly in front of my house. However, just a 5-minute walk away, there is a beautiful spot where you can park a motorhome or camp right next to the river. It’s a peaceful and natural area, perfect for enjoying the outdoors, listening to the water, and being close to nature while still being very near the village and our house.
