We miss Milla & Loic already ! It was a pleasure to have them stay with us initially for 3 weeks and then a further 3 months !
Excellent English, really kind and fun with our kids, great company, no problem with any job we asked them to do .. general cleaning, power washing, babysitting .. fixing printers !
We would highly recommend them and

🍀 Kinnitty 2023-2024 🍀
It is very difficult to find words to resume almost 4 months of the most incredible life experience. We will try to be the most practical!
We arrived in Kinnitty for the first time at the end of November (2023) and we stayed 3/4 weeks. Then, we came back for 3 months in February (2024).
We met Clodagh, Niall, Myles and
… read more John, such a nice family. They are all very generous, helpful, interesting, funny and kind.
The work was really good: 2 hours of work in the house during the morning (cleaning, tidying, ironing…) or outside the house (power washer, tidying sheds…), and then 3 hours of babysitting (collect kids from school, homework, playing games, preparing their dinner sometimes…) the afternoon/evening. The two boys are very interesting, funny and patient with you when you are struggling with some English words which is very significant.
The accommodation was beyond our expectations. You really have your own space and independence which is very nice. And the house is beautiful.
We can’t describe the meals which were absolutely divine !!! Clodagh is an EXCELLENT cooker. We already miss the chicken butter omg!!!!
The location is perfect. Cross the road and literally you are in the mountains with a lot of hikes and trails. It is amazing to run also. Kinnitty castle is also very close to the house so you can go and have a cup of tea or a beer (or two..!). Kinnitty has everything: a cafe/deli, a post, a little shop, two pubs… Birr is a bigger town, 15min driving and it’s a very nice place too. The thing which is very interesting also is that you are in the middle of Ireland so you can go and visit every other places of Ireland in 4 hours driving maximum. Galways and Dublin are both very close (1h30 driving).
Clodagh, Niall and the boys, merci again for everything 🍀 Kinnitty will always be with us 💚🦌🐑
A bientôt ✨

Our experience staying at Clodagh & Niall's was amazing! The accommodation was comfortable and we were equipped with everything we needed. The location is lovely for walks, close to the Kinnity Castle as well as easy access to public transport, making weekend trips to larger cities very accessible. Our work consisted of light housework, lawn
… read more mowing, painting & washing fences and some child minding! In the evenings we were always provided with a delicious meal. Both Clodagh and Niall were very helpful and informative, helping us navigate the area and providing us with rides. We are very thankful for this experience and highly recommend it for any future workawayer! You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

We stayed 6 weeks with Clodagh and Nialls. We had an unforgettable stay. They welcomed us very well, we could discover their region where we could make beautiful walk in the middle of nature or visit Birr and Kinnity. They also recommended us some very nice places in Ireland, where we could go for the week-end. Miles and John are very pleasant

Thank you again for all these moments, we keep only beautiful memories in your family.

Dear Clodagh, Dear Niall,
We don't even know where to start. The time we spent with you was wonderful. You gave us an incredibly friendly welcome and took us straight into your family. We very quickly found our way into a daily routine in which we felt really comfortable. We could always talk to you about everything and you made it as comfortable
… read more as possible for us right from the beginning! That's why it was so important for us to give something back to you and support you as much as possible! The time with the boys was amazing! We learned so much from each other! I hope they had as much fun as we did!
In general, the working conditions were perfect! We were always able to coordinate with you and had the opportunity to take time off in the morning to make plans during the week. The work was also generally very varied (e.g. it was nice having the mornings off until we picked the boys up from school in our car). Whether it was dairy farming, going for a walk with Socks and Fiadh, working in and around the house or mowing 8 kilometres of lawn.... There was always something fun to do! We are also very grateful that we had a lot of time off during the weekends to really get to know and travel around Ireland. Your central location in the Slieve Bloom Mountains was perfect for this! The fact that we were so lucky with the weather, so that we could do a lot of hiking, walking and mountain biking (thank you Niall for letting me use your bike), was really a blessing. We just fell in love with everything: the landscape, the friendly people, the (pub) culture, the language, the food.... You made so much possible for us! Thank you Clodagh for the delicious food, the great evenings at the Chestnut, thank you Niall for the cozy pint evenings!
We have learned so much from you (not only our English has improved) and our expectations were more than exceeded. We hope that you and especially the boys were able to take something with you. We would love to visit you again as soon as we can and it is very important to us that we keep in touch!
Thank you that the two of us were allowed to spend time with you.
Thank you for an unforgettable life experience and we hope to see you soon!
Cheers big ears, that's how it goes bit nose! :D

If I had to sum up my experience in one sentence, it would be this:
I've never had better cooking in my entire life.
Clodagh, Niall, Myles, and Jon: I can't thank you all enough for the memories and experiences that you've given us, from listening to trad and pounding Guiness at Clodagh's pub (remember: down the full pint in three gulps, haha),
… read more to playing 25 and watching 'Father Ted' with Niall ("Ted then bed"), to hurling and playing soccer in the backyard with Myles and Jon - it's safe to say we had the time of our lives.
Also, the accommodations are insane. Clodagh, on top of being the best cook I've ever met, is also a phenomenal interior designer. They could easily charge €100+ a night for the rooms downstairs; they're spacious, comfortable, and inviting (and they come complete with a kitchenette). Instead, they were content to let us stay there in exchange for some simple painting, cleaning, and general maintenance.
For any Workawayers out there who are on the fence about where to go, you shouldn't be. Clodagh and Niall will make sure you have an amazing time, I'm sure of it. It's seriously a no-brainer.
P.S. Myles and Jon are going to grow up to be the fiercest hurling players that Kinnitty has ever seen - as long as they keep eating their porridge, that is.
I'm still a little angry that Niall beat me at poker, especially because I just won €55 at a tournament in Moneygall this past week, but it's whatever. I still won 5 points in a game of 25 that one time :)
And no other Workaway host has matched Clodagh's cooking - or even come close. I've already lost a stone. I wake up at night dreaming about rashers and cabbage and potatoes.
Oh, and one night, Niall and Niall (Clodagh's brother) took us on a local pub crawl and taught us all about Irish history, culture, and politics. I'll never forget it.
Except I did forget it. The next morning. Because of all the free pints of Guinness.
This has gone on too long, hasn't it? I'm rambling now. What can I say? It beats writing about hard money loans ;)
Thanks again, guys. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Anna & Fede stayed with us for one month and they were excellent house guests , we live in rural Ireland , they love hill walking so when they weren't helping us out they found lots to keep themselves occupied . Clodagh and Niall are wonderful host, we felt at home since the beginning :)
We stayed there one month, our room was amazing: big, comfortable, with kitchenette and en suite bathroom.
We worked around five hours per day, cleaning the house and helping Niall in the farm. The work was real work but the hospitality was great!
The food provided was

The two little boys are very funny, we loved playing with them (tractooor!).
In our free time we used to walk a lot, especially in the Slieve Bloom Mountains.
Thank you for your time and your kindness, Clodagh and Niall!
Hope to see you again, maybe in Italy!

We stayed two weeks with Clodagh, Naill and the little boys. They are a lovely family. We really enjoyed the days with them. They live in a beatiful place, where you can enjoy the nature and the animals. The work is easy, there's not a lot of hours and you have flexible timetable. They make you feel like at home from the first moment. The food is

And the little boys are the best. We had so much fun playing with them. They are very good boys, we really miss them.
