    Description

We are Nicolas and Coralie, and we have been living for the past 5 years on a small farm that had been abandoned for 28 years and was practically in ruins. We are trying to bring it back to life with all our hearts!

    Dates sought: May/June

We are looking for a minimum of 2 WEEKS, or more, ideally 1 month.

    Profile sought:
Someone who loves animals (dogs, sheep, goats) and is willing to help with care if needed.
Someone comfortable in nature, outdoors in sub-zero temperatures and in the rain. We have rain gear and other cold-weather clothing to lend to volunteers.
    Accommodation is in a caravan.
Someone ready to experience something different from their daily routine (pace of life, diet, limited phone use).
If you don't have a car, you will need to get around by bicycle, as we are located in the countryside and are quite isolated.

    We can lend bicycles.

    Examples of Tasks to Complete:

    - Stack the firewood for winter
    - Cook evening meals
    - Clean, wash dishes, tidy up
    - Harvest the delicious produce that nature offers: apples, figs, chestnuts, walnuts, etc.

CARING FOR THE 3 SHEEP AND 2 GOATS:

    - Check on them daily to ensure they are well.

    - Feed them if necessary.

    - Change their water daily.

    - Cuddle them, as they love it.

    CARING FOR THE 2 DOGS:

    - Feed them morning and evening.

    - Take them for at least two 30-minute walks per day.

    - Ensure they have fresh water daily.

    - Cuddle, play, and brush them regularly.

    Maintaining the Animal Enclosures:

    - Collect fallen wood.

    - Weed the garden and orchard.

If you wish, you can accompany Cora to her school:

    - Play board games with the students, do sports, read, paint, laminate, and prepare labels.

We live in a shared house with the volunteers, which includes:
    - Free access to the house and daily life together
    - Outings: skiing, sledding, hiking, climbing, paragliding, caving...
    - Outings with friends, evenings out, concerts, theater

Stacks of wood, weeding a garden, spreading manure, emptying the composting toilet may seem repetitive and boring. However, it's our daily routine 😉.

-sortie ski, luge, rando, escalade, parapente, spéléo...

  • Help

    Help

There is a need for help in many areas : gardening, watering, feeding and caring for animals, repairing the house, making fences, chopping wood, collecting chestnuts, fruit etc ... making coulis jams of tomatoes etc ..., decorate the house and bring your ideas to bring the place to life!

Clearing brush, cutting wood, putting it away, weeding a garden, taking out manure, emptying dry toilets is repetitive and boring. There are a lot of thankless, repetitive tasks on a farm. We spend a lot of our time doing these tasks.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

We have 2 caravans available for volunteers.
There is also the possibility to pitch your tent.
If you have a van, you are welcome to use it.

The house is very old and the comfort is relative, it is a farmhouse atmosphere!
WE ONLY HAVE DRY TOILETT !
You should not expect a star hotel!
The place is very quiet and you can meditate by the stream and take a nap in the grass when it is too hot to work.

We share our small house with the volunteers and live in a shared house.
There is a common kitchen for all of us.
You will of course have access to the bathroom and the outhouse.
