  • Description

We are a true kiwi family farm and although some say we are isolated, it never feels that way. We have 3 teenage children, all are away at boarding school so we spend a bit of time traveling to Dunedin to support them on their interests.
The farm is 2400Ha and we have around 4500 ewes and 150 cows.

  • Help

It is hard to describe exactly what we are looking for as there is so much variation both in the time of the year and what we are doing and the general day to day running of the place. There could be anything from feeding stock over the winter time, fencing, yard work that with sheep either drenching, vaccinating or other projects that may be happening. (For example we would like the cottage painted or help in the vege garden)
There is no doubt there would be plenty of variety!!!

Although we are regarded as 'isolated' by some, we are centrally located for volunteers to travel to Queenstown and the central lakes, down south to Stewart Island or North so we are a good place to base yourselves to see the South Island. We are also very flexible with the number of hours you work and the days so it gives you the freedom to have a good look around the lower half of the SI
