***I only have a stay available for 2 nights accommodation for 1 person***

I am a relaxed, friendly and tidy person who enjoy meeting and hosting travellers, having done extensive travel myself. After growing up on a 4th generation vineyard in West Auckland (Croatia/ Dutch ancestors), with the past 20+ years living in Surrey/ UK, London, Nelson and Wanaka, I have finally returned 'home' to vibrant and colourful Auckland. I recently moved into my home which is a Historical Heritage listed home built 125+years ago- it is ancient going by NZ standards and what we call 'old'!
My interests include art/design, culture, and history with wellbeing, somatics & psychology stealing the limelight. I have a Bachelor of Design majoring in Interior Architecture from my younger days and am currently studying Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology. I have enjoyed exploring the world from the age of 18 having travelled over 50 countries around the world including Portugal, France, Italy, Germany, Albania, Kosovo, Turkey, Japan, Egypt, Morocco, India and more.

Haere mai (welcome in Maori) Workawayers to my Central Auckland Abode :) A stylish 125year old Heritage home in a beautiful and peaceful neighbourhood only 5min walk to city centre Ponsonby which is lively and vibrant and full of boutique designer shops, independent book stores, galleries, cafes, pubs, bars, restaurants, parks and close to many beaches.

This will leave you time to explore what Auckland has to offer! My abode is:

    - 7min walk to the supermarket
    - 25min walk/ 9min bus ride to Kingsland Train Station (closest train station)
    - 6min drive to Herne Bay- quiet, small, and beautiful beach
    - 7min drive to Victoria Park/ Markets
    - 8min drive to Mt Eden lookout over Auckland city (the top of a volcano with a sacred crater that erupted about 28,000 years ago)
    - 10min drive/ 30min walk to Sky City, Viaduct harbour, Aotea Sq/ Queen St
    - 12min drive to Point Chevalier Beach

About 1,200 pairs of gannets nest here from August to March each year on two vertical- sided islands on to sea. A luscious green drive to Muriwai.

***I only have a stay available for 2 nights accommodation for 1 person***

Workawayers, the help needed on my property is just about finished. This means your choice in staying is limited to *2 nights- or longer if you have any specific skills! (meals not included- I'm not that cruel in feeding you my 'cooking' lol).
Tasks of 3 hrs per day per person include:
    - lawn mowing with easy to use electric lawn mower (weather dependant)
    - watering the garden
    - Cleaning the interior of the house
    - minimal amount of weeding
You need to have the right clothing if it rains as who knows what Mother Nature will present us with this time of year :)

More skilled tasks means that you can stay longer if you wish. These tasks will be unsupervised included but not limited to:
    - Hanging up pictures/ mirrors from start to finish
    - building exterior steps on a slope leading to the backyard
    - putting up trellises
    - paving in the back yard so it is not all grass
    - drainage tasks in the backyard

It is a very central part of Auckland meaning that it is easy to get around by foot, public transport or your own vehicle. Being so central it is also a great location to get your new vehicle and/ or modify it to your liking. I live a busy life of work, socialising and fitness so I need independent people who will do a proper thorough task under their own supervision most of the time.
