* ** Looking for help with renovating the ground floor of our country house .
Skills with building and tiling preferred Dates are flexible from mid January ***
Hello,
We are Francesco and Robert. We live in a rural part of central Italy willing to have volunteers helping with various outside duties. You need to be strong,very open minded, self sufficient ( able to cook for yourself) friendly & people orientated. . You need to be house proud, know how to use a broom and self motivated :)
We live in a semi restored farmhouse about 5 km from the historic town of Tolentino between the mountains and the Adriatic coast line.
The many footpaths leading through woods, fields and rivers covering the mountains makes it a pleasure to explore the environment.
Being so submersed in wilderness away from civilization, it very much creates a feeling of retreat or escape from day to day ´normal´ life.
We like living in the countryside and share our way of life with others.
The restored part of the farmhouse has all the comforts of a modern place yet set in beautiful rolling hills landscape.
We enjoy cooking, outdoors sports and socializing with friends.
we have two cats and two lovely dogs.
I enjoy cooking and try different recipes every time !!
N.B. This is only during the autumn/early spring time.
The tasks that we will be doing together may consist of the following....
Olive pruning / picking,( when in season ) gardening, landscaping, manual labour, house renovation, clearing brambles, chopping / cutting firewood, ground clearance and site preparation.
Helping us is very relaxed and informal.
Plenty of good genuine Italian food on offer !
Please note, During the summer period we operate as a B & B, however any workaways who are here during these periods will have no involvement with the B & B activities.
The olive oil that we produce is soley for our personal use and not for commercial reasons or sale.

Places to visit on your time off....
There's an abundace of places to visit, from picturesque hill top medieval towns to lovely unspoiled beaches 25 minutes away by car . The Conero Riviera its only 1 hr away from us, its called the pearl of the Adriatic for its pebble beaches and crystal clear waters and upmarket seaside towns...
The Sibillini mountains are very close too, about 40 minutes away. A fantastic place for long walks, exploring lakes and mountains plateaus which are covered with wild spring flowers from May till July.
The nearest shop is about 20 minutes walk from the house but to reach the nearest town which is 6 km away you would need a car or otherwise we are more than happy to drop you off and pick you up from the town centre etc.
At times one can feel quite isolated up here so it's a great place for anyone interested in meditation or self exploration etc. Or if not, it's simply a great place to enjoy the peace and to explore the nature. Fantastic for walkers.

Francesco and Bob are great hosts! We had the privilege of meeting some of their great friends, visiting a couple of their beautiful beaches, taking a day trip to the nearby mountains, and eating some of Francesco's delicious food! All in all, it was the trip of a lifetime and we'll never forget our time with you guys. Thanks!

Branden was without doubt one of the hardest working guys we have had to stay with us, it was hard sometimes to keep up with him as he finished tasks so quickly. He is a pleasant and friendly guy who joined in with our friends whatever we were doing.

I stayed with Robert and Francesco in the summer of 2013. It was my first workaway experience and they were fantastic hosts. Francesco's cooking was amazing and they were just great people to get to know. I would highly suggest staying with these two if you are ever in the region.

Jenny and "Legs" were a great couple to host who fitted in straight away and happily joined in with everything that was going on. They were diligent workers and worked really well as a team.

Never thought I would be so comfortable in a new invoirment, all thanks to two lovely people how take great care of their guests.

We cannot speak too highly of Job's time with us, he was the perfect workawayer, a very hard worker, a lovely sociable personality, easy to feed and a pleasure to have in our home. Certainly my most luxurious work away experience :D Amazing food, company, house, scenery and of course who could forget about the animals! Mike was a wonderful introduction to our first ever workaway experience, he was a hard worker, totally flexible and having a personality that allowed us to have an instant rapport, which meant a very enjoyable time for us all. We would not hesitate to welcome him (and his guitar) back to our home.

Workawaying with Francesco and Bob was an absolutely incredible experience, and I can't recommend them as hosts highly enough. As soon as I arrived I was made to feel at home, which wasn't hard considering they have a beautiful house in some of the most picturesque landscape I've ever seen.
