    Description

We are a Franco-Chilean couple living at the foothill of the Malalcura Mountain, in the village of San Fabian, 5 hours south of Santiago and 1 hour up to the Andes. We live in a land with wonderful native forest and we are now developing our life project. We built our home here and we need to start our organic vegetables garden and orchard. We are mountaineers, Kora work in tourism with local horseman (miguel) and Chalo in wildlife conservation. We have a kid (Mateo) who has five years old, and speaks french and spanish, ride his bike, and love the little cars. We know almost every corner in the region, and we can take you in a beautiful trip in the mountains. We love food, as good French, Kora have a magic recipes book from her grandmother with delicious dishes you can try if you work hard!!

For us it is very important to live in a natural and healthy way, we eat almost everything organic. We are not vegetarians, just because the local goats bred in the mountain are so good!!

Come and enjoy with us the nature in San Fabian!

We are agronomists, and we work on tourism with local people from the mountains. Kora is a botanist with a wide knowledge about native flora (she discovered a new genera of plant here in San Fabian!), and Chalo is a conservation biologist specialized on bats. With us you could learn about our wildlife, and meet local horseman from the Andes, go to climb or to hike the mountains surrounding the village...

We are working on our garden project, we bult our house last year, but obviously it is not finished...

There is allways a lot of blackberry to cut and remove, we have a huge compost place, we have a cellar where we stock our tools and firewood. We need to open some path into the native forest, We already have three bridges to cross a little river and a dry toilet... we need a fourth bridge...

We have a little cabbin to receive you! but it is also not finished, so if you want to do some wood work, you can!

Around the year we need help in the garden in diferet ways (the garden is huge!!).

Autumn: Help to trim the fruit trees of the garden, and to plant new trees.
Winter: Cut some trees (exotic pines) to saw them in order to obtain wood for our house.
Spring: Take care of fruit trees, mow the grass... a LOT of grass.
Summer: Watering plants, mow the grass and make bales, build little dams in the river,

You only will need energy and good vibes!!
