    Hi there
We are Taryn, Vini and 6 month old twin boys

We are both well travelled & have hosted wwoofers & volunteers extensively & for many years. We are vegetarian, LGBTQ friendly, socially and environmentally minded. We are looking for help with our 6 month old twin boys 🫶🐣🐣 we are looking for someone who also enjoys these values so that we can share nice times and conversations with :)

I am Australian & Vini is Brazilian. We have travelled & lived in many countries
We have two gorgeous little twin boys. They were born in Darwin on 23rd October 2024.
Ours is a busy & super friendly household with my mum & dad staying nearby in a caravan. The ideal volunteer will be friendly & warm hearted, open minded & motivated & willing to fit in with us, an extended family & busy household. .
We have a lovely garden & gorgeous swimming pool & also electric bikes you can use.

The home is a lovely airy 3 bedroom house with extensive outdoor living area in a garden setting . You will have your own bedroom with an air conditioner & share a bathroom (we do have 2 bathrooms,2 toilets as well as an outside shower & toilet)

We live Darwin, in the north of Australia (Northern Territory) in a gorgeous beach suburb in multi cultural Darwin. Right at the top of Australia. There are lots of birds & wildlife, & nearby parks & rivers.

There are extensive walking &!bike tracks all round this area, cafes, markets & the beach. We love to meet up with extended family & friends at markets of the many food trucks along the waterfront (which is 2 streets away. We have bikes & a lovely swimming pool. There are buses to the city & to a nearby shopping centre.

Up early, helping with baby care, meals, washing & light housework.
We are organised (as much as we can be with twins) and it all revolves around the babies and helping us with them. Because there are two babies, we often just need an extra pair of hands to hold or cuddle them, and to come with us when we go on outings (for walks, for coffee, to swim, to visit friends and other play time activities). You will be really welcomed as part of the family :) and you will have lots of free time and your own space too :)
We expect 18 hours work a week for food and accommodation. We are vegetarian and live to cook yummy vegetarian food :)

Occasionally If there are extra hours and you would like to do them (you dont have to, just if it suits you), we pay you for them.

We are happy to host 1,2 or 3 people - the more hands the better!

We look forward to welcoming you 😊🫶🙏🏽

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

There is me Taryn. In my 40s & young at heart. These are my first babies
Then there’s Vinnie who is in his thirties and is my best friend and the babies dad. He’s a super cool guy & a super dad.

We have hosted many volunteers and travelled so much ourselves.

We really enjoy spending time with like minded travellers.

The cultural exchange you would experience with us would be a mix between an alternative family lifestyle (myself and Vini are alternative in that we are politically left, socially, environmentally and LGBTQ friendly, vegetarian, international, speak many languages) and a traditional Australian family (my parents who live nearby are a very welcoming traditional Australia family). You will certainly feel very welcomed by us all!

If you like to cook, you would learn great vegetarian foods with Vini who is an excellent chef! And you will learn (along with us!) how to look after twin babies! We are learning ourselves as these are our first babies :)

Taryn owns an eco backpackers in South America and Vini owns a yoga retreat Center there.

We are living in darwin to be close to Taryns family while the babies are young :)

My mum & dad live in a caravan nearby & are wonderful & welcoming. My brother, sister in law & niece, Liana live nearby. Ours is a close family

    Help

Help with cuddling our 6 month old twins 🐣🐣☺️ We are looking for 18 hours a week help with our twin boys :) We are flexible with what days and times you help and we can work that out together. The help we need is to come with me on activities and outings (story time at the library, coffee with friends, walks etc), and to help holding and cuddling the babies - they are napping during the day at the moment, but just in someone’s arms, so we need extra arms to hold them :) This is all at the moment! The boys are growing and things change very quickly as they develop :)

We have internet. We just ask that the babies are not exposed to screens, or to people when they are engrossed in their screens. So it would be best if you use your screens or work in your room - or any space that the babies are not in 🙏🏽we also work a lot on our screens! thanks for your understanding!
