    Description

We are an Australian couple, in our late 50's, living in rural Victoria. We are building a new house and would like to share the experience with some willing helpers. This will be our second house we have built and we are both looking forward to the challenge.
We've spent time traveling in Europe and had amazing experiences with workaway hosts in England, Ireland, France, Croatia, Tenerife and Spain. This has given us an great insight into what makes a worthwhile experience for hosts and volunteers. We now have our own projects and we're looking forward to hosting workaway volunteers in our beautiful part of Victoria.
There's many places to see in Gippsland all within easy driving distance, we are close to the great dividing range and the ninety mile beach. There's also several rivers nearby with swimming holes and some great bushwalking trails.

Our bush block (see photos) is situated just outside a lovely town (Briagolong), there's a good local pub, bush walking trails and swimming holes. Our close friends enjoy bbq's, cards, boccie, table tennis, cricket and football. The house in Maffra is about 1Km walk into town which has supermarkets, hotels, cafes and a bus stop. Sale is a large town, about 15 mins drive away, where there is a train service to Melbourne & East Gippsland.
We'd love to show you around parts of Gippsland, it's rural & unique, there's easy access to many beautiful places like Raymond Island and their koala colony, great beaches, 4wd tracks and bush walking trails.
Sean's patient and able to teach carpentry skills.
We eat mainly vegetarian food & enjoy cooking, conversation, playing games and having a drink & a laugh.
