Description
Let's work together to make a difference!
Step right up folks, Satyam is here from our learning space! We are in Adari, Mau - a small town some 100 km away from Varanasi, and I'm making magic happen here since 2018. I created a safe haven for the local children to let their imaginations run wild, and let's be real, what could be more important than that?
Our organisation is a unique and innovative educational initiative that enables children in this village with opportunities to learn and grow. Our organisation offers a variety of educational programs and experiences that help children develop a love of learning and a sense of wonder about the world around them. Many Workawayers over the years joined our program that offered art, yog, music, sports, storytelling, academic support, community connection, social emotional and choice based learning under the open sky. Our learning space nurtures children with a supportive and encouraging environment where they can thrive. Here, children are not just receiving an education, but they are also building relationships and creating memories that will stay with them for a lifetime. The goal of our organisation is to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders and thinkers, and to create a more vibrant and connected community for all.
This has been our little corner of hope, a place where village children discovered freedom, curiosity, and joy in learning.
If you scroll through our Workaway feedback, you’ll read stories from volunteers who spent unforgettable days at our learning space that grew from ruins under a pomegranate tree into a vibrant hub filled with laughter, creativity, and community. Those experiences shaped who we are today.
In March 2025, we paused the home schooling to grow deeper and wider taking its spirit into schools and communities through three new initiatives:
🌱 Our Current Work
🪶 Project Sparsh – School Transformation
We’ve partnered with the Education Office of Mau to place trained youth fellows in government schools. They work alongside teachers to bring joy, creativity, and values based learning to over 125 children who were once at risk of falling behind.
🏫 Project Bandhu – Community School Revival
We’re reviving a rural community school — that once thrived with 300+ students but nearly closed. Together with villagers, we’re rebuilding trust, ownership, and dignity in education. Through this we are searching ways to create futuristic community schools for under priviledged communities.
🥏 CK Ultimate – Leadership through Sport
Our Ultimate Frisbee program trains boys and girls as equals, breaking gender barriers and nurturing leadership, teamwork, and emotional intelligence. The team now plays across districts and has twice won the Spirit Award at state tournaments!
Want in on the action? Join us! Share your skills, time, and energy with these amazing children and youth. Help them grow into future leaders and responsible human beings. And the best part? You'll get to experience the unique culture of Eastern Uttar Pradesh and spend quality time in a community filled with the loveliest children you've ever seen. So come on, join the fun!

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Experience village life while helping transform schools, revive communities, and play Ultimate with children.
You will experience the lesser-explored culture of eastern Uttar Pradesh, which has a syncretic mix of traditions. The lifestyle here is rurban, so you can see both urban as well as rural lifestyles. You can explore the crop fields nearby as well as the local powerloom industries. Working with children will help you witness how young India thinks.
You’ll experience the real rhythm of rural India from morning chai to vibrant local festivals and heartfelt conversations under the stars.
We’re located about 100 km from Varanasi, one of the oldest living cities in the world perfect for a weekend visit. Within Mau, you’ll discover a weaver community, Bhojpuri traditions, and warm hospitality.
In return, you’ll bring your own stories, art, culture, and curiosity introducing new worlds to our children and youth. Whether it’s a recipe from home, a song, or just your way of seeing life, everything you share adds meaning here. 🌸

Help
We are actively seeking passionate, self motivated individuals who wish to contribute their skills and hearts to our work. Here volunteering isn’t just about teaching, it’s about co-living, co-learning, and co-creating a community that grows together.
Here’s how you can make a difference:
1️⃣ Fundraising & Outreach
Help us sustain and expand our grassroots programs by assisting with fundraising campaigns, writing updates, networking with potential supporters, and spreading awareness about our work. Even a few thoughtful emails or creative ideas can go a long way here!
2️⃣ Workshops & Skill Sharing
Conduct engaging workshops based on your expertise music, painting, photography, storytelling, craft, coding, or any creative art you love. Our children and youth fellows learn best through doing, so hands on, experiential sessions are always welcome.
3️⃣ Volunteer Presentation (A Must!)
Every volunteer is requested to make a presentation introducing themselves about your hometown, culture, passions, and experiences. This is one of the most inspiring moments for our children; it helps them dream beyond borders and feel connected to a bigger world.
4️⃣ Content Creation & Social Media
Support our digital storytelling by helping with photography, videography, YouTube editing, or writing short posts/articles for LinkedIn and Instagram. You’ll help us share authentic stories of rural education and hope with the world.
5️⃣ Cooking & Daily Chores
We live as a family and families share work!
Volunteers are expected to help with vegetarian cooking, cleaning, organizing, and keeping the space joyful and welcoming for everyone.
6️⃣ Sports & Activities
Join us in daily games and outdoor activities! Whether it’s Ultimate Frisbee, yoga, football, or free play. Your participation adds energy and builds beautiful bonds with our children and youth.
If you’re seeking a volunteering experience that goes beyond teaching - one rooted in community, reflection, and shared living then we will feel like home. 🌸
