    Description

    This is a registered community based organization since 2020 in Githurai.
    Githurai is a densely populated, vibrant and poor residential area and located on the border of Nairobi

    Our goal is to empower women and girls from our community.
    We teach skills to women to help them to become independent and self sustainable.
    - Right now we have a program running for teenage and young mums to get skills in wellness industry, like barbering, nails, braids and wellness massage.
    - we plan to start more practical programs in the future so they can get a job or start their own business soon.
    - We also provide small non collateral loans to women and youth to start or boost their own bussiness
    - What we als do is provide sanitary pads and mentorship to local vulnerable girls on a monthly basis.

    Currently we have two staff members and several local volunteers who take part in our different activities.
    Our staff members help with day to day running of the organization such as book keeping, loan collection and planning for monthly mentorship. We have a small building for classes and an office.

    We welcome volunteers to join us and help develop our community by adding value to our programs or make new and in exchange we provide accommodation and food for the period the volunteer us with us.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    In Kenya we have 47 tribes, from which a lot live in Githurai. We will explain a lot and you will experience the diofferences yourself. We even can teach you some basic Swahili.
    Realise this is africa, no hygienic 5star spots, but muddy when it rains and dry when there is sun. But everything is authentic and by the heart, so being with us is a unique experience.

    3. Helping us find funds to support our projects (girls' sanitary pads, school books and uniforms);
    4. Organize recreational activities to animate and share your culture with our community;
