  Buenas from sunny Puerto Rico! I have a beautiful 2,000 square foot home on nearly a quarter acre. It has five bedrooms and four bathrooms, included a separate covered gazebo with one of the bedrooms and bathrooms. There are fruit trees and my sad vegetable garden. Lots of hammocks :)
  
  I'm looking for people who can help me with projects around the house while they balance that time with exploring the island. We have beautiful beaches nearby and plenty of rivers and other outdoor activities to explore.
  
  I love my home because it's peaceful and on a dead end with lovely neighbors. It's quiet by Puerto Rico standards. I really love it. It was abandoned for three years but now I'm making it my own and would love to share the space with others!
  
  PLEASE NOTE: Guests MUST have their own transportation. There is no Uber or taxi or public transportation and it is not a walkable destination. Unfortunately this is non-negotiable.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  I am not Puerto Rican but I have lived and traveled all over the world and used to do a lot of Couchsurfing. Now I do a lot of home exchanging and house-sitting for a cultural exchange. Time for me to reverse the roles as the property owner this time! I look forward to sharing everything I can. I teach yoga, cook a ton, bodyboard, snowboard, scuba, hike, all the fun stuff. Anything you want to learn let's do it!

  Help

  I'd like a few hours of help with projects around the house like painting and staining, , gardening, cleaning, and other things. If you are handy with home/garden projects, there will be something for you to do here :)
  
  I will be working and teaching you along the way! I have tools and things you can use. I recommend doing the tasks early morning or in the evening, especially in summer.
  
  Also for larger jobs please note we hire local contractors. Volunteers are to help us with the smaller projects we can't really hire out for - very few people will come work for just 3 hours.
  
  Ideally we'd like 2-3 hours of help each day from our volunteers, which I recognize is less than usual. We want you to be able to explore - it's an exchange, not a job.
