Description
We are a friendly and welcoming family living in Seville: me, Aurélie, and my two wonderful daughters, Violeta (13) and Emma (10). I work as a French teacher, and our home is a warm, lively, and open-minded space.
Following a recent family transition and separation, it’s now just the three of us at home. Having volunteers stay with us has always been a deeply enriching experience, and right now, having a supportive extra pair of hands makes a world of difference in our daily lives.
We are looking for mature, kind, and responsible volunteers who would love to become a natural part of our family dynamic. For my daughters, having someone around who can act like a big sister figure—helping them practice English, sharing daily activities, and bringing positive energy into our home—is an incredible gift. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Since two languages are spoken in our family (Spanish and French), you could learn or perfect yourself in these two languages. We love the intercultural exchange, we really enjoy learning from others people. That's why talkative travelers, keen on sharing ideas and experiences, with a good faculty to adapt and some independence, would be welcomed!
We live close to Seville, in a very pleasant town, so you would have the possibility of enjoying the big city while being able to take refuge in the countryside after your visits and walks through the capital of Seville. -

Help
We live in the countryside, in a nice and peaceful place but, with the girls and the work, I never stop.. I would need help, basically to take care of them on the afternoon after school, take them by car to some extracurricular activities, help them with their schoolwork and study exams, practice English, do crafts) and, at home, with small household tasks (folding clothes, helping to cook, picking up the table, tidy up the girls' rooms...).
Because of the school tasks, it is essential that you have a very good command of Spanish so you can easily understand their assignments and help them study. At the same time, we would love for you to speak to them in English so they can continue practicing and improving naturally.
On some occasions, you would stay with them in the afternoon/evening so that I could go out with my friends ;)
As for the hours, it would be mainly in the afternoon, but we are also flexible, and this schedule also could change a bit, depending on the plans of both.
Please note that my daughters stay with me every other week (one week with me, one week with their father).
Because of this schedule, your help and presence will be concentrated during the weeks the girls are at home. On the alternate weeks, when they are with their dad, you will have a lot of free time to explore Seville, travel, study, or focus on your own projects, with only light household tasks required. -

Accommodation
You will have a nice mobile home separate from the main house, but next to it, in order to have more personal space and privacy. From May to October you could also enjoy refreshing swims in our swimming pool.
Regarding meals, we usually share the midday meal and for greater freedom for all, at night, as you´ll have a kitchen in the mobile home, you´ll have the possibility of cooking with the products that we will provide you. We usually eat a lot of vegetarian products.
We are in a country setting, with beautiful views of the Andalusian countryside, inside the village at the same time, as in 10 minutes by foot we can reach the center of the village. Sevilla is also quite close by bus.
If you are looking for a peaceful place to recharge your batteries, this is your place! -
