Description
Hello! We're a busy friendly family living on a small farm in Ardross, in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland. Our home is surrounded by rolling hills, fields, and big skies – it's peaceful, full of fresh air, and just a short drive to the coast. We overlook a loch which is walking distance for swimming and paddle boarding. We’re also not far from the famous NC500 route and a great base for exploring everything the Highlands have to offer, including wild beaches, historic castles, hill walks, and loch side picnics.
We're a family of four – myself, Katie, my husband Ruaridh, and our two young sons 5 and 2. We also share the farm with our dog (Labrador), horses, and a small flock of Hebridean sheep. We run a few different things, including the farm and two family businesses, so there’s always plenty going on.
We love where we live – it’s rural and peaceful.Types of help and learning opportunities

We offer a beautiful, detached cabin in our garden for you to stay in during your time with us. It’s a cosy, self-contained space with a king-size bed, a small kitchenette, a private shower room and toilet, and a TV for relaxing in the evenings.
The cabin looks out over stunning Highland views—rolling hills, open skies, and peaceful countryside. It gives you your own space to unwind and enjoy the tranquillity of where we live, while still being just a short walk from the main house and part of our family’s daily rhythm.
It’s the perfect balance of comfort, privacy, and connection—ideal if you love nature, value a bit of peace and quiet, and enjoy waking up to fresh air and beautiful scenery. What else ...
We live in a rural setting about 10minutes drive from Alness our local town which has supermarkets, farm shop and takeaways.
There are local clubs you can join to meet people in the community in a rural environment you get out what you put in. A social life isn't on the doorstep it takes a bit of effort to meet people and join local clubs. When you do it is an incredibly friendly place with a lot of opportunities.A little more information
