  • Description

Our resort is s small family run wilderness resort in Clearwater, BC. The town is the access point for Wells Gray Park which is a huge wilderness park famous for waterfalls and river rafting, kayaking, and hiking. We are 3 hrs from Jasper, 5 hrs from Vancouver, and are very busy all summer with primarily European guests. We rent log cabins and luxury 'glamping' tents during the summer to tourists, have a sauna onsite and a lots of outdoor areas for people to enjoy the forest and peace and quiet.

We are open May to October - and are looking for 2020.

Learn about living in a wilderness setting - we are on 30 acres of cedar forest, at the base of a mountain. Clearwater is a town of only 2500 so this is real rural living. Self sustainability is a must! We have electricity and wifi, but we are on a well with a septic system. Learn about bears (they like to come visit) and all the waterfalls of Wells Gray Park. So many hikes and areas to explore here where you won't see another person. learn to canoe, kayak (the Clearwater River is awesome!) and see if you can make it to all 40 waterfalls in the Park.
We are a family of 4 (kids 8, 10) who are very active. We have a canoe and mountain bikes (awesome trails only 1 km away). The town of Clearwater is a 10 minute drive away. There is no public transit but there are bikes and we go into town most days.

  • Help

We are looking for some help during our busiest months starting in June 2020 until September 2020. Tasks could include yard work, gardening (big areas for gardens that we rarely have time for), light maintenance, and small scale building. We have a common campfire area that we would love someone to light every night, chat wth guests, and even play guitar! We are also starting to plan some eco-cabins onsite may be starting some projects there. Probably looking at about 20-25 hours per week, minimum wage is $14.60 CAD. Interested in 1 week to 2 week stays.
