*****Please read carefully*** We are only accepting couples.

We are now accepting volunteers for May, 2024 as the snow has melted and we are ready to start Spring Clean-up.
We looking for travellers who have just arrived and would like to experience Banff in the Springtime.

I need people who can work without supervision for simple jobs such as raking. I am in my 60's and need assistance due to health challenges.

We are looking for hard working practical people. As we are a family home, we do not accept people under 25 years. We like people who enjoy the outdoors on their days off. No drinking or smoking. We are not a party house.

We live in beautiful Banff, Alberta. We are 10 minutes walk to downtown.

We are refreshing our family home and yard. Spring is in the air. We are looking for help with a number of projects around our home. Once the snow is gone we need help cleaning up the yard and taking yard waste away. This would mean raking, picking up yard waste, mowing, watering, spraying the driveway etc. Lots of Springtime clean-up.

I also need help with other projects around the home. Looking for people with handyman experience. Specific tasks, maybe cleaning, painting, organizing in the kitchen, garage and office.

The best fit for us has been couples over with excellent communication skills, early risers with strong work ethic.

We are looking for help with some unfinished outdoor projects.

Experience with carpentry or construction trades using tools and a technical background would be important.

We have some indoor painting to do, so we also would like someone who has painted before and is detail oriented.

Our last work aways helped to clear our garage and load our truck to do some dump runs.
They built garden boxes. They have tidied the garden, mowing the lawn and clearing weeds.

It has been so helpful to have a hand with the yard work etc. When I go into the city they helped with the dogs and let them outside into the backyard. They had a a strong work ethic and would work together to get things done.

Working outdoors can be challenging and we would not expect anyone to work in extreme conditions.

There are a number of indoor tasks on our list too, such as cleaning, painting and small repairs.

Helping me to organize my paperwork, kitchen and household.

We would agreed to plan a consistent schedule, including days off.

Access to downtown is a 10 minute walk. Great transit system to see the sights. Living in Banff you can visit a lot of attractions and we have fantastic hiking. Wildlife such as deer, elk, bear, coyotes are just a few animals you may experience, all of from a safe distance of course!

We don't smoke, or drink. We are accepting couples only -25 yrs and older only for a minimum 2 week stay. Also we have a dog and can not accommodate more dogs. You must be comfortable around dogs as I need help to feed, groom and let him out when I am busy.

We are looking for people who pay attention to detail and have great communication skills.

So far we have had 2 Czech couples at different times who were great as they were straight forward communicators, just like us. We also had a French couple who stayed for 2 weeks. The Czech couples liked Banff very much. The first couple stayed with us for 7 months. Our second Czech couple started with 2 weeks and we got along very well they stayed for 4 months. We just had a lovely couple from the U.K. They were very independent and happy to help. They enjoyed the trails around Banff and loved to play with our dogs.

We also had a Slovakian couple. They loved helping with our non-profit Food Rescue which helps to feed our community.

We also had another couple from the U.K. for 2 weeks. Workaway experience has allowed us to do things that we need motivation to do, it's easier to do it together as a team. We have enjoyed the experience so far.
