Description
Hello, we are Kary and Nhung, the owners of Brisa Bahía, a small beachfront retreat center on the Caribbean coast of Colombia, near the Panama border.
We are located in a beautiful and secluded place surrounded by jungle, wildlife, and the warm Caribbean Sea. Our property has a private beach, tropical gardens, and peaceful spaces designed for yoga, healing, creativity, rest, and reconnection with nature.
Our goal is to create a calm, welcoming, and meaningful experience for our guests and retreat groups, with exceptional meals, warm service, and a family-style atmosphere. We host retreats and guests who come here to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the natural beauty of this special place.
My wife and I are originally from Louisiana and came to Colombia with our dog, Rex, and our cat, Pantera. We are building and caring for this space with a lot of love, and we welcome volunteers who enjoy nature, community, creative projects, gardening, landscaping, and helping maintain a peaceful retreat environment. -

Caribbean vibe with private beach for lounging, swimming, snorkeling, and there are two dive shops in the area. The beach is beautiful and the surrounding jungle is full of animals such as monkeys, sloths, parrots, toucans, iguanas, frogs, anteaters, and more. There are also fresh tropical fruits that are available for picking year around.
You will get to explore the area, practice the language and meet a lot of people from all over the world that come through the resort while it is open. -
Help
We are looking for help with many things.
Mainly we are looking for someone to help us beautify our small beach resort and help us create beautiful spaces for sitting, meditation, yoga, and exercising.
We can use help with:
- Carpentry projects, renovation projects and DIY projects
- Expanding the garden and creating new garden places
- Landscaping around the resort. Planting beautiful flowers, trees, and fruiting plants.
- Help to create a natural pool and an outdoor gym
- Help to create areas for practicing meditation and yoga
- Photography/videography for social media and website
- Website (wordpress) assistance
- Keeping the ocean/beaches clean of plastic
Other than that we are open to volunteers suggestions and help with any new project that will come. -

We offer single, double room, and multi bed rooms, they all have their own private bathroom and shared kitchen.

There are many trails to hike, jungle to explore and beaches to lounge. Panama is only a 20min boat ride away. You can take a 45 min. hike to the village of Capurganà through the jungle or a 10 min. boat ride.
