We are working on a combined conservation and tourist project in a very remote part of Patagonia, Chile. I, Marcel, the owner, came to Chile from The Netherlands in 1997 and together with Carolina we started this new project about 8 years ago. We homeschool our daughters Elena (11) and Isabel (7). Next to this conservation project, we run an outdoor adventure and flyfishing lodge at about 2 hours away for the park we are developing.

DIY and building projects
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
You will help out with local people and mostly be submerged in an incredibly beautiful and untouched natural environment and be part of a unique project in this part of the world
To create a sustainable project, we need help in building trails, cleaning fields, planting crops, building sheds, working with excavator, installing a turbine and other technical help,.
You will stay in 2 person- shared cabins or domo shaped tents. Hot water showers and solar power is available as well as limited internet access.
In a common area mostly local food will be prepared by everyone helping on the project. Cost for food will be born by us.
After finishing our gardens and greenhouses, a grand part of the food will be grown at the park.
Very important to understand is that the location of the park can only be reached from the village by a 30 minutes boat ride across the lake or by a 3 hours hike along its shore. The village has only about 300 inhabitants and offers basic services. Leaving the park will be limited to once a week maximum. Free time can be spend on the park. Horses, canoes etc. are available.
