    Description

Come and join us on our family farm!
We are a family of five: Antonio (the husband), Carolina (the wife), and our three children – Dusan (12), Antonia (10), and Thomas (4). In 2020, we moved from Puerto Natales, in Chilean Patagonia, to a farm near Frutillar. This place was once an old dairy farm, which we’ve been transforming into a regenerative and diversified farm project.

Our farm is located 38 km from Frutillar and spans 97 hectares, with native forest, rolling pastures, and 1.5 km of beautiful riverside where we swim and kayak in summer.

We raise beef cattle, produce mobile pasture-raised eggs, keep honeybees, and grow vegetables for our homestead. We also have a field dedicated to cut flowers, and in spring, summer, and early autumn we host some light tourism activities.

If you’re interested in regenerative farming, family life, and nature, we’d love to welcome you!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

By staying with us, you’ll experience life with a multicultural family — Antonio comes from Croatian roots, his family having migrated to Patagonia in the 1940s, and Carolina is half Kiwi (New Zealander), half Chilean. We’ve lived in the wild and remote south of Chile and are now building a new chapter here in Frutillar.

This is a chance to be part of a real regenerative farm project from the inside — to learn about sustainable farming, animal care, vegetable and flower production, and the rhythms of homestead life. You’ll also get to practice Spanish, learn some traditional recipes, and share in daily life with a family in one of Chile’s most beautiful regions — surrounded by lakes, volcanoes, rivers, and native forest.

  • Help

    Help

We are looking for people who are not afraid to get their hands dirty and enjoy working outdoors — rain or shine, in the heat, wet or cold. Life on the farm is full of variety, and we appreciate helpers who are eager, adaptable, and open to learning.

    Tasks may include:
    • Helping with chickens and cattle
    • Working in the vegetable and flower gardens
    • General farm maintenance (cleaning, repairs, fencing, etc.)
    • House chores, especially helping with cooking and keeping shared spaces tidy

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, nature, and being part of family life on a regenerative farm.

    Accommodation

You will either stay in a room inside our family home — so we kindly ask you to be clean, tidy, and respectful of shared spaces — or in a house next to ours. If staying in the house, you’ll have everything you need to cook your own meals, and sometimes you’re welcome to join us for meals at home.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Being in this region, you’ll have easy access to many beautiful lakes, rivers, and natural areas to explore in your free time. The Los Lagos Region is perfect for nature lovers — you can go swimming, kayaking, hiking, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

There is limited public transport, so we can help coordinate pickups from Frutillar when possible. On your days off, you’re also welcome to relax at the farm or explore the nearby villages and countryside.
