Description
My boyfriend and I live with our two dogs, a six year old Flat Coated Retriever mix and a one-year-old Rat Terrier mix, in a two-room flat in Weißensee, a quiet neighbourhood of Berlin. The flat has everything you need, you can sleep on a double bed in our bedroom and chill during the day on the couch in the living room or watch a movie on the projector. We can also offer you bikes to go around and explore Berlin. Our dogs, Elsa (6yo) and Lara (1yo) are quite a funny match. They were both adopted, so originally street dogs. Elsa is the more mature one, but she still enjoys getting goofy sometimes and loves to cuddle. She can be a real couch potato but also goes crazy about her frisbee. You can have a really good time with her, she loves bringing it back so you can throw it again. Lara is the hyperactive dog that needs some mental stimulation so that she can calm down. If she doesn't get that, she can get destructive (chew stuff), restless or bark a lot. You can stimulate her by playing little games like hiding her food around for her to search or do impulse control games when playing with her ball (she loves her ball crazy). Lara also has tries to steal food from your plate or search the rubbish. She once ate rat poison, which was a not so fun experience, so you got to look out when you are walking them. They are two sweeties which love cuddles and attention, but still showing clear borders is completely necessary.

Help
Elsa is a very chill and easy to take care of dog.
Lara really requires someone experienced or someone who is willing to exhaust her mentally, especially in the morning, so that she can be chill during the day. She can be reactive if not stimulated. Also while walking, she can get triggered by people or dogs and lunge at them or bark at them. She is 8 kilos, so not a hard dog to manoeuvre, you just have to learn to watch out for the possible triggers and prevent her from reacting (for that we have some keywords and treats for distraction). When meeting new people, including you or your friends for example, she might also first bark at you and sounds really scary, but once she gets used to you, she will relax.
They need to be fed twice a day after their two walks. The morning walk can be also around 10/11 if the night walk previously was around 20:00.
Mornings we do a playtime of around 45 minutes, time passes by fast, because we also have fun with them. If we are not in the mood for playing, we go to the park and walk super slow through the grass so that they can smell. Smelling is also a great stimulation.
Evenings we do between 19:00-22:00 (they don't have a fixed schedule, it's up to you) a 30/40 minutes walk around the hood with smelling possibilities.
Sometimes if we take them out really early, around 8 for example, i would take them out for a quick sniff, pee, poo around 15/16.
If you take pleasure in it, you can also brush their fur, but it's not a must.
Keep us updated about their well-being and in case of emergency go to the vet (we will give you the contact). We would of course reimburse you the costs.
They can be left alone at home together. Lara cannot be left all on her own, because she will howl and bark for hours. But if they are together they are fine. Just make sure to close all the windows and the door to the kitchen (thats where the trash is)Languages spoken
