    Description

I know this place since we came 2016 to Central America and bought our first sailboat as we took care of a deserted Caribbean Island in Belize and needed a vehicle to do the monthly shopping. Now It feels for me like home, everybody of the locals knows us and I love to be surrounded only by water and mangroves. No resorts or supermarkets, no night or city life, only some thatched roofs in the greens and piece all around. Next shopping possibility at Livingston or Rio Dulce.
I have run a marina and a house to host guests successfully in the last 4 years and now want to offer my boat spaces to travelers on a budget who want to enjoy a few days out here relaxing a little from travelling.
Before doing this, the boats need some TLC and as my girlfriend went to Europe I am lookin for some nice people to join me.

Living on a boat with limited space and recourses is a learning process by itself and I can support this in telling and teaching you about off grid life, sailing and how to live a creative and fulfilled life.
Of course boats need to be moved, first mainly on the waters of the river and lake and I can teach you how to do so. The anchor place offers free :-) swimming in warm water whenever you want at a very save and remote location with few friendly locals around.

I have a fleet of three sailboats anchored in a secluded, calm bay in the Rio Dulce/Guatemala. My future plan is to rent the boats as very cheap accommodation for travelers on a budget.
For now, I am looking for people who like to help and support me with getting the boats in a reasonable shape. Structurally they are in good condition, it mostly needs light works like tidying, cleaning or painting, some sanding, fiberglass works, some carpentry.

30 years ago I spoke French fluently. I still understand everything but some vocabulary lost my mind or mix up with Spanish. Would like to have some practice again. And of course always happy to improve my Spanish:-)

    What else ...

The aim is to make the boats ready for receiving guests. It should be a nice and cool space with positive ambience but still everything should be neat and clean at any time.
