Join Our Team – Practical, Social Handyman Wanted for the Summer! 🛠️🐓
Hello!
We’re looking for someone with broad experience in general building and maintenance to join our small team for the summer.
The Work
You should be confident with tools and practical tasks, including:
General repairs and upgrades
- such as building fences, small toolshed, painting etc. etc.
We're looking for someone hands-on, tidy, organized, and comfortable with power tools.
The Social Side
This isn’t just a building job. We also run a small-scale tourist farm, so it’s important that you enjoy meeting people. You will have to help guide guests through food tasting experiences or introduce them to our animal.
Housing & Environment
We can assist with housing – you’ll live in shared accommodation with people from other nearby small businesses. It’s a social setting, so you should enjoy being around others both at work and in daily life.
Located in Flåm, Norway – surrounded by stunning fjord views, nature, and a good vibe.

Looking for someone to join from now until September. for the right candidate a longer stay might be possible.
expected pay around 35-40K NOK before tax.

You will get the chance to experience Norwegian nature, both on the water and in the mountains.
You can join our guides and learn how guiding works, learn about hospitality and how to operate a hostel or food business.
We can teach you how to kayak and you can use our kayaks as much as you want. We have some stand up paddle boards too.
There is a very social atmosphere with staff from all over the world, come together to work in Flåm.Host offers payment in line with the minimum wage

We are looking for someone who is handy and can help us renovate some buildings with us, previous experience needed. we got Plenty of tools etc :)

We have one staff house and more staff accommodation in a brand new mini house trailer.
Depending on the time of year, it’s a single room or shared with a maximum of two other people.

There is great public transport in Flåm. Access to Bergen, Oslo and other surrounding areas of Norway.
It's a tiny town, but it's filled with international people and activities in the summer.
We have kayaks, sups, e scooters, and camping gear that our workawayers can use.
There are several restaurants food trucks and bars in town
We are surrounded by nature with endless possibilities for hikes and outdoor activities.

She stayed with us a month, was supposed to go for another already planned gig then return, but didn't.
Overall a good experience hosting her.
She did an incredible job and we were super happy with her and would gladly have her back anytime. Unfortunately we had to reduce the amount of workers this summer due to cancelation and could no longer keep her.
Friendly, outgoing, hard worker and bright.
