    Description

We are a family of three, my partner Luca, our 4 years old son Eros and myself. Luca is originally from Italy and I am originally from France. We do speak English, French and Italian at home.
Akaroa is a small village, 90 minutes away from Christchurch. Lots to do outside: walking/hiking, fishing, paddle boarding.
We recently bought our first home in Akaroa. We have lots of projects inside and outside.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We love to travel and love to learn about different cultures or languages. We love to play boardgames. Luca has a passion for astronomy and will happily share the wonders of the Southern Skies with you. We can teach you French and Italian (and English). This is our first time joining Workaway but previously we have hosted exchange students and we had a BnB.

    What else ...

Please note there is only one bus that departs from Christchurch at 9am and arrive in Akaroa at 11am, return from Akaroa at 4pm. In Akaroa village you can walk almost anywhere but if you would like to see Banks Peninsula your own vehicle is preferred. There are so many things to see in the surrounding bays! Akaroa is home to the Hector dolphins, little blue penguins, seals. Some cool gardens, cool shops and eateries, walking trails for beginners to experts.
