Description
We are a ranch in the Cariboo region of British Columbia. Our place is based on 320 acres surrounded by crown land. That means no neighbours and plenty of wilderness. The nearest town is Quesnel, BC, which is close to an hour away. Our place is secluded, and there are endless opportunities to do wilderness activities.
We train horses, and teach people how to work with their horses. We also pack our horses into the mountains, and teach people how to pack their own horses.
We are mainly looking for help with our 6 yr old son, but there will be plenty of opportunities for someone to learn the different skills we can offer if they would like to learn them, such as horseback riding, learning to train horses, trimming and shoeing horses, packing horses, fencing, building, haying, mechanicing and much more.Types of help and learning opportunities
Babysitting and creative playCreating/ Cooking family mealsHelp around the houseCultural exchange and learning opportunities
Workawayers who come here will be a part of the family, and be included in all activities. They will be able to learn many different skills relevant to a remote ranching lifestyle. They'll be able to enjoy many different activities that nature has to offer, such as riding, hiking, canoeing, and fishing. Also, if they wish to learn more there will be plenty of opportunities for someone to learn the different skills we can offer, such as horseback riding, learning to train horses, trimming and shoeing horses, packing horses, fencing, building, haying, mechanicing and much more. As well, our place is very beautiful, and peaceful. Workers can also experience a different lifestyle and culture and hopefully leave here with a different outlook on life.

Help
We need help with our 6 yr old boy. Watching him, and playing with him. So somebody who likes kids is a must.
A like for dogs is also beneficial, as we have 5 of them, and they are in the house as well.
We are a team when it comes to household chores, so workawayers also have to be willing to help inside the house with meals and tidying up.Languages spoken
English: Fluent
