    Description

    Hello,

We are a Thai-German couple based in Bangkok and Kanchanaburi National Park.

    watch out
start from April 15th Another option is to stay on our boat in southern Thailand Ko Tau.

offer to live here on a luxurious boat and experience the underwater world of Thailand.
    daily tasks:
    - Diving and fishing for your own needs
    - Experience the island world that tourists don't normally experience
    - help with the daily routine on the boat
    - Cook the finest fresh fish and vegetables from our own farm
and of course a lot of cleaning!

we need 4 people to operate the boat properly!
2 volunteers, my boat boy and myself.
The boat is used exclusively for private purposes, so getting to know each other is a must.
    short stays are not possible.

    about Kanchanaburi

We grow our own fruit and vegetables because 98% of the produce in Thailand are grown with large amounts of toxic chemicals, so this is the only way to live healthily. Located in one of the most beautiful national parks in Thailand; the farm overlooks a large river and mountainous regions.

**Please do not apply if you have no solid experience helping on fruit/vegetable farms or have knowledge in agriculture. This is important as we our livelihoods depend on our farm produce. Minimum stay 2 months or longer, stays past 6 months can be discussed. Additionally, everything on the farm is ecological and organic - we make our own natural pesticides to chase away pests (not kill them) and also organic fungicides. You must have experience making these and even better yet, bring along your own ideas and teach us so the farm can improve its yield.

Our farm produces all possible fruit and vegetables grown in Thailand, and we also have chickens for fresh eggs, a goose, a cat and a well-tempered German Shepherd named Jesse.

This workaway is most suited to farmers/students of agriculture that want to learn more about permaculture in an Asian climate. The longer you stay, the better work experience you will have! Farming in Asia is very different compared to Europe due to the climate, so there will be an abundance of learning opportunities here for your studies and interests, especially if organic farming is your thing.

On our farm you will gain firsthand experience of Agriculture in SE Asia, develop your knowledge on self-subsistent farming and lead an independent lifestyle. If you are looking for peace, tranquility and to train yourself to be mindful, this might just be the place for you. One great thing about this workaway is the flexibility and independence - once you have a strong grasp on how the farm operates day to day, you are free to travel/plan your own time as long as the tasks get done (coordinated with Lak)! Our cleaning girl cooks 3 meals a day using vegetables from the farm and there is always fresh-caught fish from our boat.

We are looking for an extra pair of hands to maintain our self-subsistent farm. You will do tasks alongside our Thai guy, Lak, who speaks very basic English, but is friendly and very keen for language exchange! Day to day tasks could vary, as there is a lot of farm tasks to keep up to date. This can range from pruning and sweeping leaves to maintaining garden beds and making organic fertilizers.

Using natural/organic materials is part of our ethos at the farm, and we hope you can adhere to this and learn lots about organic farming. As the Asian climate is the perfect environment for bacteria and fungi to grow, our main concern is keeping them away from our crops. We make our own bio fermented water and fungicides to keep the unwanted at bay. We are enthusiastic to meet people who can bring different ideas to the farm on how to prevent pests from invading our fruits and vegetables.

The qualities below are essential for what we are looking for in an ideal Workawayer:
    - Self-motivated
    - Common sense
    - Reliable
    - Ability to communicate
    - Extensive experience with agriculture
    - Knowledge on pH, soil nutrition and organic pest control methods

Let us know if you have any questions we can answer!

IMPORTANT: Unfortunately, we are only seeking people with extensive farming/gardening experience, as there will not be people available to monitor and teach you from scratch how to take care of the farm.
