    Description

    We are Patrice and Nathalie, a couple passionate about nature and involved in our community.

    I, Nathalie, am a social work technician returning to school to manage an agricultural business. I am passionate about edible flowers and native medicinal plants.

    I, Patrice, am a landscape photographer with a passion for hiking, nature, and astronomy.

    We are focusing on developing our one-and-a-half-acre property using permaculture methods and a food forest. We also strive to become as self-sufficient as possible while living in harmony with our natural and human environment. We therefore have many connections with the people around us and contribute to the development of our community through volunteer work to support everyone's quality of life, as well as through a network of mutual aid through a network for the exchange of goods and services.

    We live in a small village nestled at the foot of a magnificent mountain (Mont Megantic) that is an International Dark Sky Reserve and a wonderful hiking spot: La Patrie. The village is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. There is a swimmable river nearby, as well as several places for hiking, biking, and learning about the flora and fauna.

    We are just beginning some projects, such as the food forest project. We also want to build a greenhouse adjacent to the chicken coop, redesign a compost area, develop growing areas using various permaculture methods, and, of course, continue our organic market gardens.

    We need your help with all these aspects, whether it's work on the property or getting involved with us in village projects that aim to promote access to healthy food, cultivation, and the development of service infrastructure for all its citizens.

    We offer you a space where openness to others and awareness of our environment, both human and natural, are lived daily. We offer you a moment to spend with us in order to contribute to this space through your participation; an atmosphere filled with joie de vivre, sharing, respect and openness. We will be happy to share our knowledge and provide you with experiences of connection with nature in all its expressions according to your interests.

    Welcome to our home!

    =============
    Nous sommes Patrice et Nathalie, un couple passionné par la nature et impliqué dans notre communauté.

    Moi Nathalie, je suis une technicienne en travail social qui retourne aux études en gestion d’une entreprise agricole. Je suis passionnée par les fleurs comestibles et les plantes médicinales indigènes.

    Moi Patrice, je suis photographe de paysages, passionné de randonnées, de nature et d’astronomie.

    Nous focussons sur un aménagement de notre propriété d’un acre et demi en permaculture avec forêt nourricière. Nous recherchons aussi à devenir le plus autonome possible tout en vivant en harmonie avec notre environnement naturel et humain. Nous avons donc beaucoup de liens avec les gens autour et nous contribuons au développement de notre communauté par du bénévolat pour soutenir la qualité de vie de tous et beaucoup d’entraide par un réseau d’échange de biens et services.

    Nous habitons un petit village niché au pied d’une magnifique montagne (Mont-Mégantic) qui est une réserve internationale de ciel étoilé et un endroit magnifique pour faire de la randonnée : La Patrie. Le village célèbre d’ailleurs son 150e anniversaire cette année. Il y a une rivière baignable à proximité, plusieurs endroits pour faire de la randonnée, du vélo et apprendre à connaitre la flore et la faune.

    Nous en sommes au début de certains projets tel que la partie forêt nourricière. Nous voulons aussi construire une serre attenante au poulailler, réaménager une zone de compost, aménager des zones de culture selon diverses méthodes de permaculture et bien sûr continuer nos jardins maraichers biologiques.

    Nous avons besoin de votre aide pour tous ces aspects que ce soit tous les travaux sur la propriété ou de vous impliquez avec nous dans les projets du village qui tente de favoriser l’accès a une nourriture saine, à la culture et au développement d’infrastructures de services à tous ses citoyens.

    Nous vous proposons un espace où l’ouverture à l’autre, la conscience de notre environnement, tant humain qu’envers la nature, sont vécus au quotidien. Nous vous offrons un moment à passer en notre compagnie afin de contribuer à cet espace par votre participation; une ambiance remplie de joie de vivre, de partage, de respect et d’ouverture. Il nous fera plaisir d’échanger nos connaissances et de vous faire vivre des expériences de connexion avec la nature dans toutes ces expressions, selon vos intérêts.

    Bienvenue chez nous !
