    Description

We are a rural repopulation and community living project under construction. Our village is located right on the border between Aragon and the Valencian Community, at an altitude of approximately 870 meters. The nearest towns are Cortes de Arenoso (a 20-minute drive or a 1 hour 15-minute walk along a beautiful trail) and Fuentes de Rubielos (about a 30-minute drive). The nearest town with all amenities is Rubielos de Mora, about a 45-minute drive away.

We are situated in a valley, next to a small river that flows year-round. The surrounding forest consists of junipers, savin junipers, holm oaks, elms, and pines.

Currently, five people live here (three adults and two children) between the ages of 2 and 48, and we would like more people to join the project. Specifically, we are looking for two types of cohabitation:
    - a single person or a couple without children who would stay in a spacious wooden cabin located in a pine and holm oak grove, equipped with a wood-burning stove, electricity, and an outdoor water tap.

    - a single person, a couple, a trio, or any other group, with child(ren) who would stay in a spacious two-room house equipped with a wood-burning stove, water, electricity, and internet access.

We are a developing community, so those who join should be aware that a robust structure is not yet in place and that, despite our progress, much remains to be done. Interested individuals should be willing to participate in the project's development and contribute to its growth. We have no financial backing and operate through contributions from our residents.

In the village, there are many ruins to be restored, but at the moment we have four habitable houses and a communal house where we cook, eat, meet, laugh, and sometimes cry. The hot shower and composting toilet are also communal, as are the washing machine, refrigerator, freezer, and internet. We have a vegetable garden that provides some food and nine hens that lay eggs whenever they want. We also have a wood-fired oven for baking bread. Water comes from a spring, and electricity from solar panels. We usually go out once a week to shop.
We also live with other non-human animals: a dog named Llop and a cat named Kiwi.

We are generally focused on community living, food sovereignty, personal growth, respectful parenting, natural building, and permaculture. Some of us are Pastafarians, some practice Vipassana, and others practice nudism. Decision-making is done collectively, and we have a logistical meeting every week and an emotional one whenever necessary.

The daily tasks we usually carry out are:
    • Forest tasks
    • Natural building
    • Vegetable garden: preparing the land for planting, caring for the already cultivated beds, harvesting and managing vegetables, and making organic compost.

    • Spending time with the girls, offering them activities and quality time.

    • Cooking for the community, tidying and cleaning the spaces, and caring for and feeding the animals.

If what you've just read interests you, don't hesitate to contact us and tell us a little about yourself.

Come on, let's go! "Fear is a very boring prison!"
