  Hola! Bienvenidos! :) My name is Dayana, I've been a workawayer myself, so I'm thrilled to finally become a host!
  
  NOTE: I work remotely, and there are days when I might not be available. Therefore, the assistance required will be divided between helping at my home and contributing to my parent's eco project, both of which are located just 10 minutes apart. Transportation will be provided for those days.
  
  My cozy home is located in the city of Ensenada, Baja California (75 miles from the border with the US). The neighborhood is quiet and well connected by public transportation/uber, or even walking! so you can explore the city every day :)
  
  I have a tiny Chihuahua called Joey that is part of our family, he is 4 years old and lives inside the house. He is very friendly and a true explorer, and I take him to the beach every weekend.

  You will be part of our family :) we will teach you everything you would like to know about mexican culture and we would love to hear more about your culture and stories of your trips. My dad understands but do not speak english, so this is a perfect opportunity to learn and practice your spanish!

  Help

  1. Details about the help at my parent's eco project:
  
  My dad is a true handyman, who loves carpentry, making concrete pots and my mom is passionate about gardening. They have started an urban garden at their house where they do composting (all the neighbors bring their organic waste) and have developed their own water recycling system. The help consists mainly of helping with the garden, renovating, cleaning, weeding, etc.
  
  We are preferably looking for someone with some experience in gardening, permaculture, green architecture, etc., who can bring new ideas to this project! :) If you do not have any experience but love nature, are a fast learner, and very creative, energetic, and proactive, you are also welcome to join! :)
  
  2. Details about the help at my house:
  
  I am currently 30 years old, I have spent most of my 20s traveling around the world but I have decided to settle in my hometown for a while and enjoy time with my family. I live by myself now and work from home, so I don't have the opportunity to socialize as much as I used to. Learning from others is one of my biggest passions in life, especially when we are from different cultural backgrounds and so I'm hoping to keep doing that even if I am home :)
  
  The house I am living at is still under renovation, so help with that may be needed, but mainly I would be interested in learning any new skill, art, language, cooking, yoga, or anything fitness-related. Please let me know in your application what would you enjoy sharing with me.
  
  The expected time of work is 25 hrs per week, we are very flexible and we also want you to enjoy your time here and in this beautiful city, but please be aware that we are a smoke and drug-free house. Additionally, I personally avoid red meat, so I kindly request that you refrain from cooking it here. Not to worry, though – you'll find plenty of good tacos really close!

  Accommodation

  At the moment, we can only host one volunteer at a time. You will have a private room, shared bathroom.
  
  In exchange for your help, we offer accommodation and food. In case I am not available to cook, you are welcome to use the kitchen and the food available to cook for yourself :)

  What else ...

  Ensenada is a very touristic city, so there are many things to do. You can walk to downtown, go to the beach, try the local cafés and taste our delicious local food! You can also do day trips to Valle de Guadalupe and enjoy the wineries and beautiful landscapes!

  For those working online, I have high-speed internet at home and a desk can be provided if needed. While my place is generally quiet, it's important to keep in mind that controlling background noise in Mexico can be a bit challenging.
