*We do not accept applications for stays of less than 1month or for men.
Please apply only if you meet the requirements as it is very difficult to reply.

I am allergic to tobacco so even smoking outside the home is difficult for me to accept.

We will not be able to accept emails from those who are slow to reply even though they have been marked as read.

    *****

We are a family of three living in Fukutsu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, in a house by the sea.
Our daughter is 7 years old, active, curious and very friendly. My husband and I are both working. I sometimes work from home.
I want my daughter to see many different worlds and I want her to have many experiences in English.
And we want those who come to our home to enjoy Japanese life and culture with us.
We hope you will join our family and enjoy your stay in Japan.

Your job is to spend time with our daughter in English and help with the housework.
If you don't understand or don’t speak Japanese, it's not a problem. Our requirement is that your native language or like same level to be English.
You will play cards, cook with her, go to the park, and spend time with her on a daily basis.
If you like children and enjoy spending time with them, then my daughter will likely enjoy your company. We’re looking for someone who is adaptable, optimistic, outgoing, and always able to find new topics to talk to my daughter. If you love talking, it would be even perfect.
Our education method is treating my daughter as an independent individual or a grown up rather than taking care of her like a baby (her daily life is basically solved by herself). We appreciate people who are proactive, and always take the initiative to do things as the work will vary according to the needs. Willing to try new challenges and tasks is also a big plus for us.

We don't value much on your academic qualifications and diplomas. What we value more is your imagination and your proactive by able to find new and interesting topics to chat with my daughter at anytime anywhere.
We prefer the learning English process come from daily communication between you and my daughter. If you never have any Au Pair experience because of your age, it's fine, as long as you can quickly integrate into our family, proactive, willing to try new things, and have fun with my daughter.

The basic time you spend with your daughter is in the morning and in the evening.
During the daytime hours on weekdays, there may be no one at home for work or school. You can spend time relaxing by the ocean in front of us or go out nearby.

On weekends, a couple may go out together and I may ask to spend the day with my daughter at that time.
We are also preparing now to live in the forest, so we sometimes go out there together.
We love outdoors and nature, especially during holidays and weekends, we spend most of our time at outdoors.

The housework work should be about 30 minutes a day, and you can adjust yourself to do it in your free time.

Your job is 25 hours a week.
Also, sometimes urgent things come up, so we prefer someone who can be flexible.

Meals will be healthy, simple Japanese food.
You are expected to eat what you have at home in the morning and during the day.
Please feel free to use any of the ingredients.
If there is something else you would like to eat, please buy it yourself.
    Let's eat together at night.
And we are also interested in your country's cuisine, so we hope you will cook for us from time to time.

It takes about 1 hour by car to Fukuoka City and Fukuoka Airport.
There are library and supermarkets nearby.

****Finaly thank you for contacting us.

In order to make sure you have read the details of our requirements, please mention in the title: “Hello, Akiko” before you send us a message.

    Thank you*****

As for my personal taste,I especially like old buildings, traditional Japanese culture, and cuisine, so if you're interested, let's have fun together.

Practicing nature, traditional Japanese life, folk medicine, etc.
If you are interested, we can experience the four seasons of Japan together.

As for food, we will try to make miso and fermented foods by ourselves as much as possible.
Those interested in traditional Japanese food can also learn about healthy living.

I also love being exposed to other cultures and ways of thinking, so I would be happy if we could share things with each other.

Travelers can experience Japanese culture through interactions with Japanese families and neighbors. If you would like to participate in such an event, we will support you.
You can learn about Japanese and world culture while participating in our lifestyle, allowing travelers to enhance their interactive skills and cultural background.
