I stay 9 days, I helped Charly with is Green house to fix it some aluminium work. He were very confident about my skills and trust on me.
He showed me he's hobby, stones working and I helped him to break some and make a path. It was hard work but I liked to do it. We drove to a wonderful beach for swimming and to looked the sunset.

He also showed me a beautiful place near the sea.
The green house is beautiful, with so many Koï Carp, peaceful place.

It was a pleasure to have Amalie the "Koi-girl" here for two weeks.
She has a lot of knowledge about our common passion for Japanese Nishikigoi (coloured carp) and other fish.
On her hikes around she went fishing and found lots of edible mushrooms making delicious meals out of them. From our garden berries she made also great cakes and

Got also lot of help with my never ending stone garden project even moving huge stones to new places by hand.
Emilie held everything clean and tidy and adapted very easy to our life style.

Steven came to us summer 2019 with his dog Goa as a last minute wa while we had a cool polish wa artist couple here for three weeks. The first two weeks they stayed therefore in a big tent we had in our garden.

… read more ++ would love to know. We worked very good together and enjoyed our time and results. He had many problem solutions spinning on his head all the time that made things perfect. Then corona arrived and they got stuck here until June 2022 because of travel restrictions. We finished our home extensions from scratch with a cool living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom were they moved in. Our greenhouse got also a new open nice kitchen with a "bar", technical room and a practical storage extensions ++. Our cars, garden +++ got also uplifted. My neighbors, family and friends got all sort of help from him so he could have some pocket money. All got impressed by his DIY solving problems knowledge and wanted him back several times.
We got also spoiled with his nearly daily excellent dinner dishes and his DIY master pieces solving.
Goa and our dog Emil became also good friends. Both will be missed a lot but we are very thankful for all the good vibes, help and times we spend together. Arigato my brother it was a big pleasure to become so close good friends.

I came to charly and systa very unexpected after a host kicked out 4 workawayers over night when all his apple trees where planted.
It was the best thing that could happen to me.
Due to the pandemic I ended up staying there for 3 years. In that time they became very close friends.

Slavo and Helen are two wa that every host can be happy to have in their home.
Slavo came with his own antique camping van with lots of instruments and we arranged with him a "Rock n Koi" party in our Koi garden. He transformed our koi garden to a much nicer place with his instruments and decoration. Our friends enjoyed to listen him playing the
… read more gong, tibetan bowls, his repertoire of known great songs and he even sang a norwegian sang for us. It was great to hear him playing several times the short time he was here. Well time flies with good company. He even brought some tools for stone carving and he made seven stone carvings on places I wanted to have some stone drawings. These will hopefully be there for a long time after our departure.
It was a pleasure when his wife Helen came a week later and she made some great polish dishes for all of us daily. Both are very social, open minded, keep everything in order and even cleaner as it was before they came. It was a big pleasure to have them here.

Charly and Systa live in a beautiful place however Norway impressed me a lot. Was nice to hear his stories about the places he has been to and was he has done. Not many people I know has ever sailed twice to South Georgia - Grytviken in the Antarctic. Wish him all the best in his travel around the world.

I had such a nice time with Chary and Systa. Their place is located in a beautiful Fjord and I went for a bike ride or hike every day after helping with the tasks at home. I spent only one week but I appreciate and enjoyed every single day I stated there.

Adrian found his place with us and found out what he could do quite fast. He could work quite independently and did some great jobs for us. Like repairing our central vacuum cleaner that has not been working for a long time. He made the water pipe connections for three koi pond filters and cleaned the other filters every week. Our aquaponic system
… read more got also an update with siphons ++. He did some stone work finish and helped us collecting the stones from the quarry and beach.
Every day he found some lettuces and basil in the aquaponic - greenhouse and made some healthy food.
He helped us cover our cherrie tree with a big net so the birds could leave some fruits for us too. We tasted a delicious homemade cherrie cake with cacao and cream he made.
The lawn cutting was done when needed and he watered the plants too. The summer we had this year was exceptional dry and hot so it was nice to get our largest koi pond running. We used it then nearly daily as our swimming - chill out pool.
Our koi fry got also his attention looking for the water changes, filter cleaning and feeding them. He set up an artemia incubator and two earth worms buckets to grow koi fry food. He enjoyed also taking scrapes and scopes to see on the microscope what kind of parasites our koi may have.
Our kitchen in the greenhouse got also some improvements with hot water and a washing machine. All second hand utilities but working fine.
He is very practical and could find solutions for most projects. He likes to live a quite live. After work he spend a lot of his time for himself programming.

… read more carving (petroglyph) in front of our house of 45 cm that will stay there forever. It shows a couple with his dog onboard the same ship that we used as our Co. logo. Our dog Emil also enjoyed to have a daily morning walk with him. He fixed also some electrical circuits and tools as a professional would have done. Playing table tennis with him was also quite relaxing and fun. He kept everything clean and did not even complained about the cheap cheese we had in our home made pizza we bought as a mistake ! Lets hope he will show up again not only during the cold winter season but also on spring or summer time when the daylight is longer and the temperature is warmer.

Charly and Kirsten are really nice hosts. They have all kinds of projects, present and future, to be worked on; you will never run out of things to do. David has amazing practical abilities and do enjoys repairing all kind of things.
Our two old Homelite chain saws had a check and he found a broken clutch in one of them, he found the part number to be replaced and manage to get both of them working again after dismantling them to see what was the problem.

… read more properly. He opened, cleaned it, showed us the problem, fixed it and now it works as if it was new !
Our car works much better now after he repaired and welded different things that needed to be done.
Linda made some interesting dishes of our own vegetables and cakes from wild berrie she found around.
Both are Very willing to contribute in anything to be done practical and have positive energies and experience to make things as best as possible. The house and kitchen ++ was kept impecable all the time.

They helped me in the restoration of a quite special old church door by taking off all the old white paint so now we can see the nice wood behind again.
