Description
Our orchard is a farm located in the beautiful village of Furnas - São Miguel (Azores) - at 50 km distance from Ponta Delgada. It is located inside a volcanic crater, here you can enjoy nature, thermal baths, trails and lagoons.
Our main goal is to create on our farm a place to restore energy for everyday life, and where we can share our experiences and learning.
It's important for us to live in a community that is more sustainable and connected to nature and others.
If you have a background in permaculture, regenerative farming or holistic management that is for us great. If not, please feel welcome as well.
We work with a straight cultural exchange - it's not a business help.

Furnas is a village situated inside a beautiful volcanic crater. The place is like a big garden where you can find hotsprings, the Furnas lake, Geothermal steam holes where you can cook, different mineral waters, beautiful trails and viewpoints.
Help
At this initial moment we need help to take care of the gardens , a Portuguese speaking person would be a preference, as our Portuguese gardener really needs assistance.
Secondary, different building, carpentry and maintenance and art projects and tasks are ongoing in which some help would be great.
Desirable availability several months, but any period of help is appreciated.
Marta is our green spaces designer and Aya is our housekeeper.
They will guide you through the work you have to do and anything else you need help with.

Accommodation
It's possible to stay in private or shared rooms inside the house if rooms are available. Or you can also camp in our place. You have access to bathroom, shower, living room and kitchen.
We support with food expenses but you will cook your own meals. The kitchen is always available and full equipped. You can pick fruit and vegetables from the garden.
