How about collecting your own breakfast egg? 🥚🐔
Welcome to our traditional family farm in the beautiful Oberaargau/Emmental region of Switzerland (Canton of Bern)! We farm 12.5 hectares of land and raise dairy cows, laying hens, as well as a few cats and our friendly dog, Rico.
As a family, we love meeting guests from all over the world. While not everyone in our family speaks English, we truly enjoy sharing our Swiss traditions, showing you life on a real working farm, and giving you tips for exploring our beautiful region and beyond.
We would love to welcome you and get to know you and your culture. Don't hesitate to get in touch – we look forward to hearing from you!

You'll see how we, as a family, go about our daily life. You'll certainly pick up some Swiss German and also get to know traditional Swiss cuisine. If you like, you can milk the cows or even cook, bake, preserve food, etc.

    Help

There is always help needed on a farm. In the barn with the cows, in the chickenhouse, in the garden, on the fields, in the kitchen, in the house... Don't worry it will not get boring here.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

We live somewhat remote and very quiet. Public transport is very limited, but I would pick you up at the nearest train station.
German-speaking workaways have priority for us, as only I (Karin) speak English.
We cannot accommodate vegans on our farm.

Our farm is located in the beautiful, rolling hills of the Oberaargau/Emmental region, about one hour from Bern, Lucerne, and Basel. If you're looking for peace, nature, and authentic Swiss farm life, you'll love it here! Please note that this is a very quiet rural area, so it may not be the best fit if you're looking for city life or nightlife.

Public transportation is limited, but we're happy to pick you up from the nearest train station or drive you there if needed.
Basic German skills are appreciated, as not everyone in our family speaks English.

As we are a dairy farm and usually eat together as a family, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate a vegan diet.
