Description
We are farmers, looking for some help on our farm, we have 2 dogs, 300 sheep and we grow potatoes. We also have 6 horses that we ride for fun and help us with the sheep. We live in the north side of Iceland, about 30 minutes drive from Akureyri. We have two adults daughters and one teenager.

Guests will experience unique natural beauty that the North part of Iceland have and farm life in Iceland.
Guests will stay in the same house and we, so it it easy to have communication, we have worked as a farmer for a couple of decade so we have a good knowledge and experience of farm work. -

Help
Looking for help during the lamb season, the potatoes season an also help on the farm in the summer time. Such as painting the houses, fences repaired, gardening and maintaining some things and also doing some housework. Help with looking after and take care of guesthouse.
We offer payment as the wage have been listed in Agreement between The Federation of General and Special Workers in Iceland (SGS) and SA Confederation of Icelandic Enterprise -

Accommodation
We have a room in our house which have bed for 3. It would be ideal to have 2 workawayers together but we look at all applications. Driving license is necessary.

What else ...
It should be something interesting for everybody in the neighbourhood. Myvatn is about an hour driving from our farm, it's a really famous tourists place with amazing nature. Swimming pool in Akureyri an a small. The ice cream from a small store in Akureyri called Brynja is something that every tourists have to try. Family dinner or horseback ride outside on a beautiful summer evening and fishing in the lake below the farm.

Loved the stay at Áshóll so much :D
The family is so cute, so I really felt like home there :)
The landscape around Áshóll was simply amazing. Fjord, beach, mountains... everything you could ask for. So I spend a lot of my free time exploring the surrounding with the horses and the dogs.
