  • Description

    Description

Ours is a little farm just starting up. We are a couple, Anton (from the Netherlands) and Ellen (from USA). Our son Noah was born in 2011 (speaks English, Dutch, and Norwegian). He likes to interact with people and we are very glad for him to meet people from all over the world.
We are a family-run farm dedicated to preserving the surrounding cultural landscape, and home to a house concert series! Our goal is to be as self-sustained as possible. Everything harvested at the farm is organically grown (soon to be certified!) or wild-harvested.

  • Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Anton is a teacher in organic small scale farming, and Ellen is a composer. The combination of these two careers/interests brought us here to this spot in 2020—and here we want to build a place where everybody is welcome. We are happy to share our knowledge with you, and look forward to learning from you as well! Ellen loves to do yoga and bake bread, and I love to cook and be out and about.

    Help

We need help with maintaining our garden and the surrounding cultural landscape. We also have building projects coming up in the next years, such as spaces for animals, and space for art and music. We like to cook but are also interested in new food!

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

We have a separate bedroom available for you (see photo), which has a toilet and sink on the same floor (shared). (Occasionally this room can be shared with another workawayer, after discussion.) The shower is downstairs and is also shared. This bedroom is in the house we use for Bed and Breakfast, and is separate from our house (which is just 25 meters away). Dinner is usually eaten together, and cooking/washing up responsibilities are shared. Breakfast and lunch can be eaten together or separate. Basically all ingredients are organic.
