Our farm is located on the remote West Side of Kodiak Island, Alaska. We are a small family sustainable farm that is expanding.
We raise Hereford Hogs, Goats, Chickens, Turkeys and World Champion Rottweilers. This is a relatively new farm being developed on virgin land. In 2017 we will be installing two new greenhouses, fencing, making trails and improving existing animal enclosures, gathering winter firewood from remote beaches, subsistence fishing, smoking and canning our winter salmon, commercial fishing for salmon, berry picking, jam making, raising vegetables and having fun while doing it!
We live a subsistence lifestyle and harvest our salmon every year the end of June and beginning of July. Halibut fishing is part of the fun too!
We are coastal with beaches to roam and kayaks to enjoy exploring the water and sea life. This is truly a special place. Come visit us in Paradise!!

We are true Alaska Wilderness Family with a small farm. If you don't fly it in or bring it by boat you won't find it here. We are off the grid. This is a great opportunity to learn how salmon and halibut are caught and put up for winter by canning and smoking. We harvest spring sap from Birch Trees to make syrup. We harvest berries in the summer and make jam. Grow crops throughout the summer and harvest as needed. Farm animals are bred in January and birth in spring. We love it here and look forward to meeting new people that want to experience our lifestyle.
Whatever your capabilities, an extra set of hands to help in the garden, carry firewood, put up fencing, hold a tool, gather eggs, milk goats, clean fish, etc.. is a plus for us! You don't need to be an expert, just have a great attitude!!

Varies depending on time of year. We have private and/or group outside structure/living quarter separate from our cabin. The housing is placed at very scenic spots on our property where sunrise/sunsets vistas are breathtaking and you can see whales, sea otters and so much more. They are clean with pads and pillow provided. Please bring sleeping bag. We are hoping to build additional cabins this summer for guests.
We are off the grid but not disconnected from the World. We have wireless internet and satellite TV available in the evening for a few hours around dinner time. We have kayaks, fishing, beach walking and wilderness hiking. A float-plane flies twice a week with mail service and offers a seat fare for trip to town of Kodiak.
On your days off you could fly into town and see the sights and meet the locals and then fly back out to Kimberly Cove. Seat fare is $115.00 each way. We are very flexible. Our main goal is to have someone with a good attitude spend some time here, learn about Remote Alaska and lend a hand with some chores. Please contact us for photos and to discuss more if you are interested! Thanks!!
